Unhappy and feeling a little betrayed, this new brown bag house blend is not the same. I too, do not want candy or cocoa in my coffee, period. As a long time purchaser of Starbucks house blend we feel stooped out of our money and let down by "this casual switch" on consumers.

This is Medium Roast is perfect for my mornings to get me up and moving.....with first enjoying my coffee time. The tasting notes of cocoa and toffee is so delicious! I def recommend this coffee to my coffee lovers!!

While I do enjoy the flavor of the coffee, I find that it tastes just a little burnt. I guess maybe I'm still not quite used to something that is above instant coffee granules, but it was a bit overbearing to drink straight up. I had to put some sugar and creamer in it, and then it was delicious. I feel it's a nice coffee, but not something I would purchase regularly. I think my taste buds need time to grow accustomed to it. Of course, I did try to use it in a French Press, so perhaps the grind wasn't what I needed. I'm a novice when it comes to fresh coffee. Overall, a decent cup of coffee, but not worthy of a five star review. I'd probably buy it again, but not for several months down the line. My main concern is the burnt taste, but it is smooth and mellow, so that helped. It isn't bad, just not exceptional. Thanks and enjoy! :)

House Blend has been my favorite since the first time i walked into a Starbuck's many years ago. I always buy whole bean and grind it just before using. I brew it pretty strong, according to my friends, and usually drink it black without anything to cover up its great flavors. It's wonderful!

The aroma of this coffee is amazing. When I brewed myself a pot the entire house smelled amazing. The first cup of this coffee I drank was delicious.
