I used to love the House blend. Now, with its odd flavors of Toffee and Cocoa, the flavor is really odd and I will no longer buy this!

I was looking for the old Starbucks House Blend, but this came in the brown package of the toffee and cocoa added flavors.

We really enjoyed this whole bean coffee when it was in the brown bag. When they changed the color of the bag to green, it seems that they also changed the flavor of the bean. It seems much weaker and less flavorful.

My wife loved the old House Blend version on the silver bag, the new version on the brown bag is awful. It seems that Starbucks has changed the blend formula. Don't buy this new blend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As expected, the Starbucks House Blend lives up to its name. Upon opening the bag the aroma was sweet and simple. Brews up smooth and tasty. Not a out of this world unique thing but just a good simple cup of coffee.

My local club was out of the MM variety I love so I thought I would give this a try. In a word, it is horrible. Upon opening the bag, I was greeted with what I can only describe as a stench. The smell was not even remotely similar to anything coffee. I have tried repeatedly to make a decent cup of coffee with this crap but it is absolutely impossible. I ended up just throwing it away to get the smell out of my house. I wouldn't wish this nastiness on my worst enemy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Starbucks House Blend Medium roast has tasting notes of Cocoa and Toffee that smells wonderful while brewing and had me anticipating that first cup from the pot. For me though it is a bit robust in flavor. Just a tad too strong so I don't think this is the blend for me. I do recommend it to anyone who prefers a stronger cup of coffee than I do. The quality of Starbucks coffee is excellent so I am going to try another blend. The packaging is really good and has tabs to keep the bag closed and fresh which I really like because nobody likes stale coffee.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A well bodies and flavored coffee! Sometimes I think I cups water down the coffee quality but I didn’t feel this way while drinking this particular coffee. The flavor and strength were both perfect. I will continue to drink this coffee.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really didn’t like the flavor of the Starbucks House Blend k cups. This coffee says it has notes of toffee and dusted cocoa, but I found the cocoa flavoring to be very strong. I tried these black and with half and half, but overall found the chocolate taste overwhelming. I like my coffee to taste only like coffee. It is nice that the coffee is ethnically sourced and the pods are recyclable, but this is not a flavor I will be using again in the future.

Unhappy and feeling a little betrayed, this new brown bag house blend is not the same. I too, do not want candy or cocoa in my coffee, period. As a long time purchaser of Starbucks house blend we feel stooped out of our money and let down by "this casual switch" on consumers.
