I was very excited when these became available. Sumatra is one of my favorite roasts. So, naturally, I ordered 2 boxes. Unnaturally, they taste NOTHING like whole bean Sumatra. If you like Sumatra, stay away from these pods. Can't say much else. Extremely disappointed. Hopefully Starbucks will made Gold Coast and/or French Roast pods without ruining them too.

I had a coffee supplier some years ago whose Sumatra was my favorite. It went out of business. I then started my search for another supplier. I tried several over a couple of years then tried Starbucks. Who woulda thought they would have Sumatra coffee. Since then this is my go to coffee. Great flavor. Forget about making it too "strong", It just gets "Richer". Several in my family agree. Actually, everyone who tries it. dave

I like to make a half-caf blend of Sumatra and Decaf Sumatra (that way I can drink twice as much!). I'm so disappointed that I can no longer get the decaf version. I've been mixing Sumatra and Decaf Espresso and it's OK but not nearly as good. Please, please bring it back!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent coffee! The bag is easy to open and easy to close back up for fresh coffee. The coffee is easy to get out of the bag. As the coffee brews it is very aromatic and unmistakeably a premium cup of coffee. The coffee is easy to drink and has a nice robust flavor. I am a big fan, and plan to keep my pantry stocked!

We have been drinking decaf Sumatra for years. It is an incredible coffee! Now I can't find it and frankly the Espresso is just not as flavorful. Please bring it back or I'll simply have to find another dark whole bean for us. Honestly, what possessed you?

We have enjoyed Starbucks Sumatra with in-store Espresso grind (two different locations locally) for some time now (5-Stars), but recently it has been weak in flavor and does not behave the same in our regularlly-cleaned Gaggia Classic Pro. After two or three purchases, it is just not the same. Coffee is a natural product and can change as can processing, so what can be the cause? What substitute might I try?

Sumatra coffee is great for people with Acid reflex. It has a sweet, mildly spicy and very smooth flavor with a caffeine punch! I have no problems with acid reflux with this coffee due to it belong low in acid and will recommend this coffee to anyone. Once you try it there is no other that can top its flavor.

Got the coffee as a gift had never tried it and we'll I found it full of flavor a coffee that easily mixed well with cream and sugar and yet still remained it's true self I'm impressed and it made me feel happy inside so thank you for making this coffee ☕☺️

Regarding Decaf Sumatra: We love Sumatra Decaf. We bought it on a regular basis until it became nonexistent. The flavor is wonderful and, as many have mentioned, there are many people who can't have caffeinated coffee. It's not easy to find good tasting decaffeinated coffee. Also, something that was important to us is that we like the fact that Decaf Sumatra is decaffeinated by using the natural Swiss water method . We have been Starbucks customers for a long time, but when Starbucks quits listening to their customers it may be time to look elsewhere for our decaffeinated coffee.
