Gotcha Sumatra

This coffee is for the bold seekers and drinkers. Careful not to follow the brewing instructions on this one - it will be too strong (unless you like it that way) - the best taste, however, is found when cutting the brewing instructions down by a few tablespoons. Practice with it to find your own favorite "sweet spot" and you'll enjoy a smooth richness hiding inside this bold blend!

Sumatra Decaf - Search is over!

Just wanted to comment and agree with all other reviews. We been drinking Sumatra Decaf for years. Great flavor and low acid which we liked. I spent a good amount of time going from store to store to find it and finally being told it was discontinued. Search is over and will find a replacement brand. Disappointed that SB is being less of a coffee store.

What A Treasure!

I recently acquired a Keurig as a gift and set it up on my desk in my study at the Ministry. I have been enjoying your Sumatra Single Origin and find is as close to perfection as one can desire. It’s flavor profile is bold, strong with no bitterness, sweet and smokey, pleasing to the palate and with a marvelous reverberation of taste satisfaction and pleasure with each sip. From hot hot hot in the beginning of the cup all the way to cool there emerge a diversity of flavors that are utterly pleasurable....enough! Go get a pound or a box of k-cups, which btw yield superb coffee experiences.

Sumatra - Such a strong but smooth flavor

As far as I'm concerned Starbucks is the definitive and final answer on coffee! Nobody else can even come close to your refinement and perfection of so many different varieties. And most impressive is the strongest and darkest of your coffees never have any trace of bitterness at all!

Good Coffee

I could not pass up the price for this, as it was BOGO. I drink my coffee black most of the time, so it's a great way to truly compare coffees. I found the Sumatra to be more medium, not a full-bodied taste. Although it is a dark roast with a good smell, it didn't have a lot of flavor on its own, to the point that I had to resist the urge to put my almond milk & sugar in there. It was basic, no Verona, but for the price? Very good.

This coffee, in the French Press, is pure Heaven. this coffee in the morning makes all things possible for the rest of the day, and if things start to go a little south, just make another cup, things will all be right with the world again, buy this coffee for you, YOU deserve it!

Sumatra Dark

I love Sumatra Dark roasted coffee so much, I bought the company! Just kidding. But, if I had the resources, I would buy it in a heartbeat. Just a suggestion: Anybody that orders (6) bags or more at a time should get one of your classy Starbucks coffee cups on the house. If I owned the company, that's what I would do.

LOVE my new favorite coffee! From the very first cup I knew I had found my coffee! It has an amazing flavor and aroma. The after taste keeps me coming back for more. I usually stock up on it when it's on sale to make sure that I never would run out! Sams offers the best prices out there. Try some today I think you will absolutely fail in love as I did.

It's Changed!

I've been drinking Starbucks Sumatra Dark Roast since they came out with it in the mid 80's. It has always been earthy, rich and low in acid. I do not care for high-acid coffees. With my most recent purchase, it is clear that they have substantially changes this coffee. It is now very acidic, and is not a rich as it has been for decades. If you like high-acid coffees, then it's OK for you, but I will not be buying this any more.

Definately one of the top three!

While this isn't my absolute favorite it's certainly one of the top three. I stick with the bold flavors and a french press....can't be beat! Awesome morning blend. Will certainly buy again! I just discovered the french press, ten times better than filter brewing....no paper taste, just pure coffee! Thanx Starbucks! Should add another category to "Which Starbucks drink best describes your personality?" Definitely a "Black Eye" ;)
