I ran it by the vet and she said it was fine to use. Time will tell if it makes a difference but I love my kitty so if this helps, great!!

This supplement is perfect for me I have two male cats that are ten years old. They are showing some signs of joint discomfort . The supplement is made in the USA I am happy about that. The capsules are easy to open and just sprinkle over the wet cat food. If your cat eats dry then you spray the dry food with water and then sprinkle Nutramax Cosequin and it will stick to it. The supplement is odorless . Looking forward to improving my cats quality of life.

He may not be able to jump on the kitchen counters but he can still get on our bed to sleep at night and he can still "exercise" the fish in their tank.

I have a 1 year old cat, who has developed a rare but serious urinary tract disease. He has been on multiple prescriptions, including Feline Cosequin. For an unknown reason, the Cosequin has kept his urinary symptoms at bay foe two months now. The veterinarians don't really know WHY the Cosequin helps these cats (as it is usually used for joint issues), but it has really helped. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The active ingredients in the supplement are derived from shellfish, bone cartilage and manganese. Each of my 3 cats is over 15 years old with slowed activity and spryness. They don't jump as high or run as fast due to their bones aging. I sprinkle the contents of one capsule per cat on canned food once daily. I mainly feed them dry food but use a small amount of wet food to provide the joint health sprinkles. It's odorless and tasteless so they eat the food. My loving furry friends seem to move a little easier and have more energy. With the use of the supplements for 2 weeks they feel better, purr a little stronger and can once again jump up in my lap.

My cat is 13 and has severe arthritis, this seems to be the only oral joint supplement for cats and seems to be helping. He eats it well when mixed with canned food, haven't tried it on dry food. He seems much more active but he was also started on weekly Adequan at the same time, along with his normal pain meds. Will keep using it as any additional support is probably helping. I get it in the monthly auto ship packs and it's easy & convenient to use.

My veterinarian recommended Cosequin for cats when my new senior shelter cat displayed symptoms of a sore back. I honestly thought...yeah right, my cat is going to really eat this. My cat actually did eat it...happily. I have also seen improvements in her sensitivity to her back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 4 cats that are all 12-13 yrs old and though they are all still hilariously active, they're all getting a bit creaky. One of my boys recently had an x-ray that revealed arthritis around his tail and hip, so he moves a bit slower and walks a bit different on rainy days. Sadly, there have been a lot of rainy days this year and he's probably in more pain than I can imagine. I haven't tried it on the dry food he always has available because there are other cats that eat it, but I sprinkle it over his wet food with no problems. If you can 'pill' your cat, you can do it that way that as well. Over the past 2 weeks, he seems to be showing slight improvement (it's still raining). The label says the initial period of once daily dosing is 4-6 weeks, then every other day for maintenance. Of course, I'll follow up with my vet if conditions worsen or unusual side effects occur but, for now, I plan to keep him on these for pain maintenance.
