I bought this product for my 17 y.o. cat who is in great health but with the unusual cold weather she has been limping in her shoulder/hip joints and not jumping up..after 2 wks using Product daily, mixed with a teaspoon of wet food, she has becme more active and walking around more, jumping up on bed again and getting up out of her heated bed to lay in the sun in the morning! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 4 cats that are all 12-13 yrs old and though they are all still hilariously active, they're all getting a bit creaky. One of my boys recently had an x-ray that revealed arthritis around his tail and hip, so he moves a bit slower and walks a bit different on rainy days. Sadly, there have been a lot of rainy days this year and he's probably in more pain than I can imagine. I haven't tried it on the dry food he always has available because there are other cats that eat it, but I sprinkle it over his wet food with no problems. If you can 'pill' your cat, you can do it that way that as well. Over the past 2 weeks, he seems to be showing slight improvement (it's still raining). The label says the initial period of once daily dosing is 4-6 weeks, then every other day for maintenance. Of course, I'll follow up with my vet if conditions worsen or unusual side effects occur but, for now, I plan to keep him on these for pain maintenance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is hard to judge whether or not it’s effective. It’s a medication you have to build up in your pets system to truly see results. When you have picky cats and you’re sprinkling capsules of medication over their good even if you stir it, they look at you like you’re trying to poison them and won’t eat it. So if you can get it in them, more power to you. It’s been about a week and my success varies by day, so hopefully we’ll see a difference soon. We are attempting to mix it in wet cat food. At least the weight instructions are very clear.

Our barn cat is 15 years old. This past winter, we noticed a definite decrease in his activity level and he no longer wanted to be picked up. I tried Cosequin for Cats in capsule form just to see if it would make him more comfortable. I was not looking forward to giving him pills due to our previous experiences with that task. I was pleased to learn that the capsules could be taken apart and the medicine sprinkled on food. We use a separate small bowl containing dry food, sprinkle on the medicine and add a little bit of water just to make it stick to the food and stir. The whole time the prep is happening, Blackie is right there under my feet telling me to hurry up. The other cats wish he would share. After a couple of weeks, we noticed improvement and now it's not uncommon to see him outside during the day again.

My 14 year old cat was playing yesterday morning after taking the cosequin for about a week and a half. Her bones make a little pop from time to time. It was recommended to me by my vet and I found it here for a good price. I hope it continues to improve her quality of life.

Wintertime seems to be the season with the most joint aches and pains.The Product comes in a plastic bottle. That holds 80 capsules. That you just open the capsules and sprinkle the contents into your cats soft food. For ten pound cats and under use one capsule. For cats over ten pounds use two capsules. Until you notice your cat seems better with there joints and hips. The start to give your cat the capsules every other day for best results. Right now my cat is over ten pounds. So I have him on two capsules in his soft food. I just started my cat on the capsules about a week ago. The capsules are tuna and chicken flavored. My cat eats it right up. When I see my cat getting around more easy. I'll start him on the every other day program though out the winter months. The label on the bottle says these are the ingredenents.  FCHG49 Glucosamine HCl, TRH122 Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate, and Manganese Ascorbate. Other: FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Red #3, gelatin,magnesium stearate, natural flavor, and titanium dioxide (color). My 8 yr old cat looked like arthritis was taking a toll on her front legs. After a month on this stuff she is a new cat. Now shes more active and playful with our other cat. Shes always jumping on my lap, she seldom did that before. She's happy and lovin life. Very happy with the results.

I like that the price is still the same but I also think that the capsules are smaller.🤷
