Improved hip mobility but a rough ending

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cosequin for cats really helped my orange tabby. As he got older we notice he went from running up the stairs to a walk to a lumber. We started him on this at the recommendation of our vet. We noticed a difference right away! About 2 weeks after he started taking this med he stopped pooping. We don’t know that it was in direct relation to the meds or if something else was going on with him but either way we discontinued just to be safe.

GREAT PRODUCT!!

I have a 1 year old cat, who has developed a rare but serious urinary tract disease. He has been on multiple prescriptions, including Feline Cosequin. For an unknown reason, the Cosequin has kept his urinary symptoms at bay foe two months now. The veterinarians don't really know WHY the Cosequin helps these cats (as it is usually used for joint issues), but it has really helped. Moreover, SmartPaks are fool-proof to use, theer is no mess, and my cat gobbles the Cosequin right up! My shipments have arrived on time- every time, and the customer service is outstanding!!! THANK YOU!

Fat cat digs this stuff!

I've noticed comments about difficulty getting your cat to take this. What I do is open a bunch of the capsules and mix/stir it in to a full can of wet food. Then replace the food into the can. Each night I give my old girl a teaspoon or so. She gobbles it right up. That works for us, anyway.

I don't think he's old yet

Thank you so much for giving me a product that is just for cats. I consider my cat, Jake, to be just 14 years old. He has bad hips and the Cosequin makes him much more comfortable. He may not be able to jump on the kitchen counters but he can still get on our bed to sleep at night and he can still "exercise" the fish in their tank.

my cat feels good!!!

My cat, now 15, had been having problems jumping on to and off off things and even going up and down the stairs. He had a gimp in his walk; in his hind end (hips) and I could tell he was in discomfort. After starting him on his cosequin, he has been walking so much better and can jump on and off things with much less difficulty. Plus, he even will eat it with his wet food!!!! thanks cosequin...I am so much happier for my kitty. I think he feels much better too :)

Cosequin is great stuff

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After speaking to my vet I decided to try this on my 15, 16 and 17 year old Siamese's. My vet thought it was a great idea and as he said "It sure can't hurt". Its easy to give the 2 oldest boys since it sprinkles into the wet food. The girl is another story, She has never eaten wet food and she is the one I really wanted to have it as she has bladder issues. I tried moistening the dry and she thought I had lost my mind. The boys don't notice it mixed into the food at all. My vet said it can take 3-5 months to really notice any difference. Cosequin has been used forever and is safe which I like, too many drugs out that we just don't know enough about.

Original Researched brand and made in the USA

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't speak to the results of this product with my cat yet because I've only been using this product for a couple of days but it's a very easy supplement to add to my cats wet food and she doesn't seem to notice that it's mixed into her food. I read several cat site online reviews of Cosequin as a joint health supplement and feel confident that this is a safe and effective product. The online description of this product indicates that there's an added benefit of helping to support bladder health, too, and the online reviews seem to be all positive for the added bladder health benefit. My Calico cat has had bladder issues in the past so I'm happy to have a supplement that benefits both bladder and joint health! These capsules are "premeasured" so that you can break them open and sprinkle on food (wet food or moistened dry food). Obviously, you throw the capsule itself away after you empty it out. It's a white powder-like substance that easily mixes into food and my cat ate it all right up. (see pictures I've added). One capsule everyday for 10 lbs and under, Two capsules for cats over 10 lbs. The initial period of adding this supplement to your cats food every day is 4-6 weeks. After that, you can add it every other day for maintenance. It also indicates that you can add more capsule contents if needed depending upon your cat's needs. My cat is almost 9 and she's very active but I'm noticing that she has a little more difficulty jumping on her window perch now so I'm looking forward to the final results of this product!

Joint relief

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 4 cats that are all 12-13 yrs old and though they are all still hilariously active, they're all getting a bit creaky. One of my boys recently had an x-ray that revealed arthritis around his tail and hip, so he moves a bit slower and walks a bit different on rainy days. Sadly, there have been a lot of rainy days this year and he's probably in more pain than I can imagine. I haven't tried it on the dry food he always has available because there are other cats that eat it, but I sprinkle it over his wet food with no problems. If you can 'pill' your cat, you can do it that way that as well. Over the past 2 weeks, he seems to be showing slight improvement (it's still raining). The label says the initial period of once daily dosing is 4-6 weeks, then every other day for maintenance. Of course, I'll follow up with my vet if conditions worsen or unusual side effects occur but, for now, I plan to keep him on these for pain maintenance.

Catastic!

I bought this supplement for my aging feline, who was limping on her left front (probably shoulder arthritis). After a few weeks of Cosequin, she's just like new! I am very impressed with the results! My neighbor tried it on her cat, and he is feeling better, too! The powder is flavored for the pickiest eater, and my cat gobbles it down with her wet food. So glad I tried this product!

Also great for bladder/urinary tract health!

My young cat was recently diagnosed with bladder stones and had surgery to remove them. My veterinarian recommended feeding her Cosequin for Cats, as there is solid scientific evidence that Cosequin alleviates irritation in the bladder and urinary tissues. It won't dissolve bladder stones, of course, but it offers support and helps the body heal - so why not try it!
