Having tried various brands of Basmati rice, I can safely say that Royal is the clear best in quality, taste and authenticity. The bag comes with a convenient zipper so you don't need to worry about transferring it to another container once opened. For about $20, you get 20 lbs of rice (which is a LOT!). This goes a long way and it's an incredible value for money and fits in any budget without compromises in quality. Like with any rice, you may need to adjust the timing and amount of water depending on your cooking method. Add some oil to make it fluffier and garnishes for fragrance and aroma, and you can have your own authentic Basmatic rice any day of the week!

Royal Basmati Rice is my absolute favorite! The 20-pound bag is a fantastic value, and the price is hard to beat. We always have it on hand at home because it's the most delicious rice to cook with. The packaging is okay, I did end up transferring it to an air tight container but it’s a fresh and complimentary side to chicken tikka masala and any other dish.

I have bought this rice before.. I like the big bag although I rebag it in 4 cup bags with the food saver and than I can open just what I need..store it in my ball jars .. I use it for any rice dishes I make but also because I make some of my own dog food instead of buying canned to add to her dry food.. and I throw the rice in with the broth and it turn off the burner and it cooks perfectly..

Sweet-smelling jasmine rice. Long grains that look almost like branches! Great compliment to meat, beans, curry, sauces or just by itself. The bag smells fresh and happy. The grains are separate and want to stay away from each other. Prepared the rice is separate and not too starchy.

This rice is excellent. It is a little longer than the usual basmati rice we get. The other brand was discontinued so we decided to try this one. We are glad we did. The nutty aroma as it cooks is delightful and it is very light and fluffy. It is also the most economical bag of basmati rice we have found.

Packaging had no issues as usual, but always check the packaging of every bag if you're buying in bulk. The inner packaging sometimes breaks during shipping/ delivery, and it's hard to notice because of the outer bag (red). One of the best basmati for Biriyani

Our favorite low glycemic rice. Great price for basmati the only rice my family really likes. We cook Indian food couple times a week (we're Indian lol) and this the fluffiest tender rice for our pullaos, biryanis etc. Cooks up well in rice cooker or a sauce pan.

Taste and texture is as good as expected, but I am used to cooking Basmati rice at a 2:1 ratio of water to rice, and using this ratio produced a lot of excess overflow liquid from my rice cooker compared to other brands of Basmati. I will have to experiment and use slightly less water next time I cook.

The quality and value were very impressive as well. Royal Brand gives you more rice for the price you pay. Also, I very much prefer Basmati rice grown in India. The flavor is excellent and it Basmati rice does not become mushy like cheaper types of rice. Basmati will cost you more, but in the long run, it's worth it! If you are trying to stretch your budget, Basmati rice is an excellent addition to your kitchen. Add 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil to it, and it will come out perfect every time.
