I am using this rice for almost two years and I will continue to. It has a sharp fragrance which I don't hate but want to make a little less. So I buy a Mexican long grain rice and mix it 50:50 with that. That way the smell and the texture both become great.

Great rice, great price..... Rinse it and soak for 5-20 minutes and it is great. It is 20 pounds so prepare how you will break bulk when you get home. Also the inside bag is fine, but not great if you try to pour the 20 pounds into other containers...need to support the neck if you pour it

Very very happy that Walmart brings my favorite type of rice at affordable price. I score a star because this brand's grain disintegrates a little easily after cooking. Please do bring more good brands of rice like India Gate. But for now, I will continue to buy this.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, if it wasn’t for my rice cooker breaking the first time I tried cooking this rice - I’m sure it would have been perfect the first time around but the second time was 10/10!!! The way it crisps up when you fry it for crispy rice balls, to having it with some salt, pepper and butter!!! Go die for. The rice grains are perfect (not to long thank goodness) but it’s also so fluffy and flavorful! Will definitely be purchasing this rice again VERY soon!

I was surprised that such finest quality Basmati rice was available online at Walmart. I've seen this rice at much higher prices online with $15-20 shipping charges!! Walmart makes it so much convenient to buy this online with free shipping over $50 purchase or a nominal $4 charge shipping for the rice. Thank you Walmart for a great product and great service!!!

Best basmati rice and the lowest price in Walmart. As an Asian, I can’t go by a day without rice and Royal basmati rice offers a very puffy and refreshing scented rice. The rice is perfect biryani and pulao. The bag that the roce come in has a zipper which is very helpful to use.

The rice itself is 1 of the best out there and it has been our choice for the last 10 years. However my issue is with packing and shipping of the item by walmart.com The bag came opened and torn at 1 end and the rice was everywhere in the delivered box. Walmart.com should focus on better packing and delivery and not just dump all the items that i ordered in 1 big box.

I'm happy to find a large size to purchase, and love basmati rice. The burlap bag makes it easy to tote, and the inside plastic bag stores the rice. Con: the plastic bag inside on two of the three I ordered had multiple large holes in it (about one inch to 3 inches each) so I was worried about the rice getting stale or insects going inside. I froze the bags to kill off any insects, and used my own clips to close up the holes, so hopefully the rice will be good quality when I cook it.

Unlike other types of rice the grains only expand lengthways resulting in the grains retaining their long slender characteristic when cooked. The aroma of rice when you open the pot is so divine which is never going to fade even when other varieties come to the market.

Very good quality and value. Just be careful what you order it with if you're getting it shipped because it was flopping around in a large box and could potentially damage items. Fortunately the only casualty was a box of garbage bags, the box was crushed but the bags were fine.
