A nice side for a meal, however, I prefer the convenience of the microwave pouches. I would recommend this and I would purchase again perhaps for a weekend meal.

It was mixed in with our chili and was delicious. I can't wait to make it on its own. I would love to try another variety as well. My family also enjoyed it, and it's been added to our "ok to make it again" list

I admit I prefer quick microwavable rice but if you have the patience to cook stovetop, it is worth it. The taste was pleasantly and makes for a satisfying side dish for any meal.

I have never cooked rice before but I found the instructions to be easy to follow. I would probably try the microwave pouchnext time as it seems more convenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given the opportunity to try Royal Authentic Basmati Rice. This rice was very easy to prepare, n the stove top, with easy-to-follow package instructions and minimal ingredients. The taste and aroma were very appealing, and I added the recommended amount of butter for an extra taste sensation. The rice plumped up nicely and the texture was light and fluffy. The rice itself was very tasty and easily digestible; more so than other rice products I have tried, as the grains were smaller and thinner than most other rice varieties. I paired this rice with frozen egg rolls and the pairing was very satisfying and filling. I also liked the seal that comes with the package for resealing. It didn't stick quite as well, as I hoped, due to the slickness of the package itself, but once I put it into a zippered bag with the seal, the seal seemed to adhere better. I, along with my Mom, enjoyed this rice and I would definitely purchase it again, as well as recommend it to additional family members and friends. The only downside to this rice product, is the writing on the package; it is a bit too tiny for those of us with less than perfect vision. Otherwise, a great product! Rice and bean enchiladas with Royal rice was our new favorite! You get so much rice in one bag, it a great deal for the price and you'll be stocked for great, kid-friendly weeknight meals!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Royal Stove Top Rice which is Basmati and I cooked it. It didn't take long , maybe about 10 minutes and it was very fluffy and light. I then tried it alone with a little bit of condiment , some sauce and some cheese. I was impressed with the flavor, the lightness - which plays well with the stomach - I didn't have any bloated feeling and it was just a wonderful dish. I usually don't eat a lot of rice it can be sort of heavy and filling , but the Royal Basmati rice was very fulfilling without the heaviness.
