I read that this rice was the best white rice for nutrition and flavor. So, I bought it. I liked the look of it right away, and its smell. I had read that it would have a slight popcorn taste and smell, which I noticed. So, it is a new taste for me, but not a bad taste. I bought it for my ultra fussy dog who refuses to eat dog food! So, I wanted the most nutritious for him. I'm HOPING that he will eat it! I read the negative reviews, and almost passed on this, but I have no problems with it. The bag was sealed. It smelled fresh. I always store my rice in glass or vacuum sealed plastic bags to keep it fresh. Saw I transferred it to Mason jars, and saw no problems with it. Its freshness date says its good for over a year.

The taste and price are good no doubt. I have been purchasing for the same vendor, the same one for last 2 years but last 2 times I got very old one and it had lots of bugs in it. Initially, I thought may be my mistake they sent the one with bugs. I reordered after few days unfortunately, I got the same old quality one. Not sure if these vendors runs any inspection on old food products even though they should. Lost the trust in Walmart packaging food products.

Coming from an Asian household, our parents don’t go with any other rice than Basmati, considering that it is hard to find it anywhere else at this price this looks like a good deal but the difference in price at Sam’s vs other stores is not that big so I wish they work on that, the quality of the rice is top notch of course.

This rice is excellent. It is a little longer than the usual basmati rice we get. The other brand was discontinued so we decided to try this one. We are glad we did. The nutty aroma as it cooks is delightful and it is very light and fluffy. It is also the most economical bag of basmati rice we have found.

Arrived in good condition - burlap bag is sturdy, rice is clean and dry. Classic delicious Basmati fragrance, cooks up fluffy and tasty. This is a great option for those not into the bland, sludgy rice sold in most American supermarkets. Excellent choice for a quarantine supply as well!

Wonderful aroma and taste, similar to popcorn. As easy to cook as our ordinary rice, but without the arsenic and chemicals, per the USDA.. Been eating this brand for nearly 40 years. So glad Sam’s started carrying it. I don’t have to find an Indian grocery now.

Not the actual lengthy basmati you see online cooking channels or restaurants.Bit better than sona masoori rice. If you want pure basmati experince you better off buying the expensive 2-5 lb packs . Decent rice and price. Plus delivery and online order. What else can I ask for ?

The rice itself is 1 of the best out there and it has been our choice for the last 10 years. However my issue is with packing and shipping of the item by walmart.com The bag came opened and torn at 1 end and the rice was everywhere in the delivered box. Walmart.com should focus on better packing and delivery and not just dump all the items that i ordered in 1 big box.

we eat rice many times a week and basmati is what we can get here in N.America that we like. I am glad this came back into stock. It does not reheat well but then it is not the same kind as the short grains or medium grain rices. It is always clean and tasty.

I ordered this rice because I read about rice containing arsenic which is in the soil that it is grown in. I read that rice grown in India has lower arsenic which was why I bought it. This is a long grain white rice that has a great taste. I bought a rice cooker to cook it in. The 25 pound bag comes in a zippered burlap bag with a plastic bag with the rice inside. It is quite large and I am sure will last us for more than a year. I am very pleased with it and will order it again.
