Basmati rice has a lower glycemic index than regular white rice so it is a better form of carbohydrate. While cooking, it fills the air with the delicate smell of popping corn. It goes well with just about anything white rice goes with. My favorite is Sesame chicken. I like to slightly undercook it and then freeze in single serving containers. That way you have cooked rice ready to reheat any time.

A friend recommended this rice some time ago and I kept purchasing another brand. I was in the rice isle at Sam's and decided to buy it. I will never buy another brand again. This rice cooks up right every time, it is perfect. I gave a few friends some to test and they love it too.

I made a fresh pot of rice and everyone in my family had second helpings. My husband loved how aromatic it was and I loved how fragrant Royal's basmati rice was as well. I would absolutely purchase this product again and I would wholeheartedly be interested in trying other Royal authentic basmati rice varieties. So normally I would purchase some type of minute rice to save time. I am very glad My family and I got a chance to try the Royal brand Basmati Rice. This is definitely worth the extra couple steps to prepare as directed on the package stovetop! There is no comparison, it is delicious, light, fluffy, and full of flavor! I also made the stovetop basmati rice again but tried in the instapot- again turned out amazing! I will purchase this again and will definitely recommend!

It was mixed in with our chili and was delicious. I can't wait to make it on its own. I would love to try another variety as well. I like my rice a little softer and whilst I tried to get it that way it just didn’t taste and look the same way for me especially on the next day. This rice is good for certain recipes but not as versatile as jasmine rice which I can even use for rice porridge and not have to worry about buying another bag of rice just for a recipe. It definitely cooks well and I like it but it’s not my favorite

We eat a lot of rice in my household, and Royal Basmati rice is my go-to favorite variety. They say that Basmati rice is not the most versatile, but I love to use the leftover Royal Basmati rice to make fried rice the next day, or to use in baked casseroles. It’s so flavorful and delicious! I find that the grain is perfectly delicate, yet remains unbroken. The taste and texture are preferred over any other brand by my family. I’m so glad it is available at Sam’s! This makes it so convenient for me to purchase a large bag that will actually last more than a week for us! I would (and do!) recommend Royal Basmati rice to anyone who enjoys Basmati rice on its own, and even for using rice in fried rice, or rice casserole recipes too. It’s absolutely delicious!
