I bought this a few weeks ago just to give it a try other than it being light weight I've been very disappointed as his litter begins to smell if I don't clean it literally every other day. The smell permeates throughout my house. I've never had this issue with his other litters. I won't be buying again :-(

I can honestly say that it's well worth the extra money! It's easy to carry and pour, and it does a fabulous job of controlling all odors!

I was super excited to see this product and try it out, as I live in an upstairs apartment and the "lightweight" quality is a big plus. However, now that I've used it for over a week, I've soundly decided that as soon as I go to the store and purchase some of the old Tidy Cats formula, this stuff is going straight into the trash. Pouring the litter into the box created a virtual smoke screen of litter dust, which is similarly kicked up every time it is scooped. Likewise, my cat no longer smells like...well, cat...she smells like Tidy Cats Litter ALL THE TIME. Seeing how much of a dust cloud it creates when I scoop it, I can only imagine the dust storm when my cat uses the litter. And, frankly, the thought of all that overly perfumed dust being inhaled by her (and not to mention me) really bothers me. That and the last thing I want to smell every time I pick up my cat is her litter. That dust clings to her and everything else in a three foot radius around the litter box.

Yes, I tried the Lightweight formula of Tidy Cat Litter, but was dismayed by the price--so expensive--but I bought it thinking it would be worth it. It clumps fine, and disguises odors well, but the dust it creates takes over. I went back to my old regular litter for economy and cleaning sakes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this last week and love how well it works. We honestly can’t smell a thing from the litter box. And the lightweight is nice as it’s easier to carry and clean up. I would definitely recommend this to cat owners.

My store had a BOGO on LightWeight litter so I decided to try it. It is too expensive at its regular price. I chose two different varieties. I was VERY disappointed. It clumps as well as regular Tidy Cats, and isn't dusty, but it doesn't control odor. I can smell urine odor from outside the bathroom, a problem I have never had with regular Tidy Cats or any other clumping litter. Even the LightWeight's strong fragrance does not cover up the urine odor. Tonight I poured half a box of baking soda into the litter box to solve the odor problem.

I haven't found it in the stores that I shop, yet. I usually purchase Tidy Cat in 35 pound containers and have to LUG them into car & then into house. If they actually do clump as well and contain odor as well as the regular product I purchase, I will be soooooooooo greatful.

I love tidy cat glade,  but that big bucket which I also love is so heavy.  This jug is light.  I wondered how well it would work,  but it definitely holds up to the tidy cat name.  I use it in my littermaid and I honestly think it makes the machine works less because the litter doesn't weigh as much making it easier for the  rake to glide through  the litter.  I happen to like the smell, and I typically look for the scented ones. Now they just need to make it available in the nice big bucket.

Saw this product on commercials and was intriqued. When I was at my local grocery store I picked up on of the containers and was blown away by the weight. It was so much more convenient then those heavy containers. Our cats do not seem to mind the difference and used it without problem. Great product!

When I started using Tidy Cats Lightweight, it claimed 99.9% dust free, and it did seem to be. Now, they no longer make any claims other than "low dust" and I can see the litter dust building up everywhere and getting tracked around. Looking for an alternative litter again.
