Loved the litter but the dust was unbearable. Worst dusting cat litter ever used. Husband upstairs started sneezing immediately. Whole room was covered with dust. Can't be healthy for cats or people! Regular Tidy Cat Scoopable user. Will stick with that even though it's heavy.

Surprised at the negative reviews on this product...I love it! Bad joints and being 63 the tub had gotten impossible to lift into cart or out of the car, so the weight of this litter is wonderful. PLUS, the performance is superior in my opinion to the heavy litter...we have four grown cats so it got a good test. I found it better at odor control, easier to scoop, and less litter outside the box from kitties feet. My only complaint is: please sell it in the larger tub size and make the price the same as the heavy litter.

I recently purchased two 3.86kg canisters of the new Tidy Cats Lightweight litter. We have two cats and two litters...so I bought the '24/7 Performance' for one litter and the 'Instant Action' for the other one. I just wanted to see what the cats preferred. To my amazement, both cats were sneezing like crazy and neither of them wanted to go into the litter. One of them tried and sunk right in...probably because of the lightweight. I guess it felt like quicksand for her and she was soon out of there. The other one took a snif and did her poopoo outside the litter. This litter may be human friendly because of its lightweight and scent, but it sure didn't impress my two felines. On top of it, the ingredients states: Natural ground clay and 'deodorizing system'. Now what the heck does this 'deodorizing system' consists of? I threw the stuff out and went back to my President's Choice UNSCENTED clumping natural ground clay...which the cats love. It's heavy, cheaper and my cats purr. Purina needs to keep in mind that what may be a solution for humans, may not necessarily be best for our little furry loved ones. I bought this 2 weeks ago.......I have always used Tidy Cats Litter for Multiple cats, as it did a wonderful job I thought I'd try the Lightweight version. It is AWFUL, more dust than the other kind and the odor....it DOES NOT clump, thus when you scoop it the urine clumps fall apart and it causes the whole box to reek of urine. I have had cats all my life and NEVER had a little box have an odor. I clean it everyday. With this Light weight version it is impossible. I had to throw both boxes out and replace with the other litter and it is expensive...don't waste your time or money.

We have been a Tidy Cat litter user for many years. When Purina developed a light weight litter we thought it was wonderful. We are very disappointed in this product. I normally don't write reviews but thought it was necessary. It is "light" and it does absorb well...but...it also sticks to the cats paws and they track it all over the house. It is almost like styrofoam tiny balls with static in them. I have catch mats down in front of the boxes and to no avail ....they still carry it everywhere. Ok...have got it off my mind. Going to totally switch to another product.

I truely do think this is the best cat liter I've ever used - but, I have 2 cats - 1 a diabetic. I'm 85 years old and can't aford it so i will go back to what I'ver been using. Too bad, because it is so loteweight and easy for me to handle. Maybe some day they will reduce the price. Hope so, cause I really do like it.

Purchased this when my cat's old litter ran out. At first I appreciated the lightweight and fine litter. However it smells very strongly of fruity- almost like Starbursts in the cat box. Almost immediately, my cat started defecating right outside the box and not urinating in the box as much as he had been. Then I found he had decided to preferentially urinate on the dog's beds instead! Ruined two dog beds in 2 weeks before I was able to get his old litter despite scooping his litterbox twice daily. As soon as I went back to his old non-scented clumping clay litter his litterbox habits returned to normal. This litter also sticks to his paws so I was finding little grey paw prints on my coffee table, 2 rooms away from his litter box. Maybe he would have used this more if it didn't have such a potent fruit odor to it. Even I wrinkled my nose every time I would pass the litterbox.

I've used Tidy Cat litter for years. I thought I would try this litter. It is lightweight and does clump well. However, it's much more dusty than the regular formula of this type. In fact, I went looking for something better by Tidy Cat. I'm so tired of the dust and tracking. I tried the Breeze system and I am loving it!

I bought this recently as I really have a hard time lugging the normal packages from the store to the car, from the car to the house and then down the stairs to the basement where the cat box is. This made if much easier with the same performance. However, we feel the cost differential is too large to make this feasible for this benefit. It's a shame.

When you pour it out, very very dusty!! I almost gagged and would recommend wearing mask for protection. Cat will not cover his doo doo. I love other tidy cats products. This one is not worth the extra cash. I like the light weight and fresh scent when its new. once kitty does his business this stuff is highly stinky!!
