I switched to this because I am 72 and would rather not carry 50 lb bags of litter around. Now that I have used it for several months, I find there are several negatives: 1. It is light, so the cat throws MORE of it out of the box, and to greater distances. 2. It does not clump as well as the old litter; they break up forcing me to dip out lots of little pieces instead of one big chunk. So, the only good thing is the weight when I top off the litter box every ten days or so, and the bad things occur several times a day. NOT a good trade off -

So, I am surprised to read that it gets tracked everywhere, we haven't had that problem, however it does NOT decrease the odor and trying to scoop it is impossible. It crumbles and just spreads the soiled litter. The cat even hates it and pooped outside the litter box because of it! Highly dissatisfied. I would rather the heavier stuff that actually works!

Tidy Cats is my go to brand and I usually use the regular 24/7 performance kind. The lightweight version really is an upgrade. It weighs so much less and is easy for me to pick up and unload which I appreciate, especially since I buy 4 or 5 jugs at a time. This litter is easier to pour, truly dustless and is easy to scoop! It clumps better than any other kind I've tried. There are no small pieces falling off and contaminating the rest of the litter. It does track slightly but it's much easier to sweep up than traditional litter. OMy litter boxes stay fresh and I'm able to get more mileage out of this litter! I definitely recommend Tidy Cats 24/7 Lightweight especially for people who have multiple cats and tried every other litter on the market. This is the one!

I have always used meijer brand scooping cat litter. Recently one of my cats started sneezing when using the litter box and was very quick to get in and get out. I was concerned that she was developing allergies or asthma to the cat litter dust. I tried this lightweight product because advertises 99.9% dust free. It is MORE dusty than the cheap meijer stuff. I found it difficult for myself to even scoop the box as I could feel myself breathing all the dust. Dust makes a mess in the utility room and more importantly, cats did not like it. Switched to Nature's Miracle Natural Care Odor Control Clumping Cat Litter, it is made of wheat and has very little dust, no artificial smells (which is good, cats are sensitive to fragrances) and I am very happy with that product. I filed for a refund for the Tidy Cat lightweight product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a huge fan of Tidy Cats cat litter but what I really hate is lugging huge bags of cat litter home. With the 24/7 Performance Lightweight Litter I no longer have to get my husband to carry big heavy bags and I can lift the container of litter no problem. I love it.

I love regular Tidy Cats but not this lightweight. I love that it is easier to carry and has the two handles to spread but it doesn't seem to control odors as well as the regular. When the carton was empty I poured the regular into the two handled container because it is much easier to use. I will continue to use regular Tidy Cat.

I love tidy cat glade,  but that big bucket which I also love is so heavy.  This jug is light.  I wondered how well it would work,  but it definitely holds up to the tidy cat name.  I use it in my littermaid and I honestly think it makes the machine works less because the litter doesn't weigh as much making it easier for the  rake to glide through  the litter.  I happen to like the smell, and I typically look for the scented ones. Now they just need to make it available in the nice big bucket.

We have 3 cats and 3 boxes.  We put this lightweight in one box.  Here's the breakdown of our test drive.  Pros:  light weight (of course), need less and it goes a long way!  Clumps REALLY well!! We used only 2 - 8.5 containers instead of one full 35 pd container! Cons: THE DUST gets EVERY WHERE!! It is also so light weight that the cats track it more.  The most over-powering SCENT EVER!  It's enough to gag you!  It does subside somewhat but not enough! I LOVE the idea of it!!  It needs some more work, however!  I'm not sure you can make it light weight and not have it track out.  I can live with that.  Work on the dust and the scent and I'll be back!!  I have a pic of the dust but apparently cannot upload.  I'll add this review to Amazon (if product is there).  

You will find this litter in your bed. You will find this litter in your couch cushions. You will find this litter in the back of the closet where your cat can't go. You will feel like you might as well either live in an Easy-Up in the desert or with a broom duct-taped to your hand. This product is great for easy transport, but not much else. Plus, it's REALLY expensive.
