So I purchased the light weight litter to try. Put it in the litter box last night, when I came down this morning my house smelled horrid! We only have 1 cat. Thankfully I still had some of our other Tidy Cats litter. Needless to say this litter is going in the trash. But on the plus side my litter box was lighter feeling when I went to empty it out.

The kitty didn't seem to notice the difference. It is so much lighter to carry. As you know as you get older you can not carry as much weight. I had been buying the buckets(which were great) but they got to heavy for me to carry. So I had changed to the jugs. Now that is is light weight, works just as well as the regular Tidy Cat, i am very happy. Can't thank you enough.

I was so excited to see the new lightweight product that I bought it immediately. Ive used Tidy Cats for years, so it was terribly disappointing to use this inferior product. The smell and the dust were awful! I've gone back to Tidy Cats Scoop. I'd rather deal with the weight.

lightweight is great but way to dusty...made my cat sneeze everytime he got in the litter...way to expensive.......was hoping to use it cause I have to climb up 4 sets of stairs to my apartment.! Wish I could get a rebate for the money I wasted (fixed income leaves no room for waste)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Tidy Cats products and after trying Tidy Cats Lightweight, I am convinced this is the best litter that I have tried. It clumps for easy cleaning. It blocks the ammonia smell. Highly recommend.

I bought it was so excited to use it started out ok , I have 2 cats 2 litter boxes I scoop every day. after 3 days I started to notice dust and not just a little but alot.i dumped it out washed down everything around, you could see the dust I could tast it, i was not happy I wanted to use this so much. went back to my old tidy cat litter. and it is more dust free than the 99.9% dust free light weight. I have asthma so I know what I am talking about, I need a dust free house. I still like my tidy cat.

Formula has changed - used to be light gray (I still have some of this) and now is a mixture of light gray, dark gray and white. Litter does not clump as it just makes a messy blob that falls apart when scooping. It also no longer controls odor as it did previously.

I tried this product, never believing it would be as effective as "regular" litter, and thinking that the "Light Weight" was a gimmick. Was I wrong! This is a fantastic product. It works as well, if not better than the heavier litter, but it is so easy to use. Not being as young as I used to be, I have arthritis in my hands and a lot of lower back pain. This product aggravates neither. A thousand thanks! BTW, I never mixed it in with the old litter, just started it out in a clean box and my cats, including the fussier one, both immediately took to it with no problems.

Makes my life easy. Clumps after a few short moments, smells great, no kitties are sneezing from the aroma. I do spray it with Lysol in order to kill germs. I also use Arm and Hammer Litter deodorizer to kill odors. That helps the litter last a long time in the box.

I was extremely excited to give this litter a try and I can't believe how well it worked. I don't smell what I smelled when I walked in and I feel like I can have friends over again!
