[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tidy Cats brand is one I tend to buy, because of the pail and price. I purchased the Tidy Cats Lightweight 24/7 Performance with a free coupon courtesy of PinchMe, and used it. It was easy to scoop and clean, but the odor still remained.

I've been searching for a litter that reduces odour and I ended up trying Tidy Cats Light Weight. Not only is it really easy to carry because it is so light, but there is no cat odour at all! I love this product! Purina, please don't ever change the formula, it is purrrrfect.

I tried this litter because of its weight. I have a one cat household and scoop every day. The smell is terrible, does not eliminate odor, which I never had with my other litter. The litter does not cause dust; however my cat tracks it throughout the house, never again.

I tried this cat litter because I had a $3 off coupon and I'm 100% NOT impressed. It says on the bottle it lasts 2x as long but I don't see how that's possible. It took the same amount as any other litter to fill up the litter box and I'm definitely not going to scoop it less or change it less often so how do they figure it lasts twice as long? It's the same amount of litter but weighs less so I guess they are trying to say because it weighs half as much it will lasts 2x as long as regular litter of the same weight but obviously that doesn't make sense (because it's the same amount just different weight.) It would be good for anyone who has physical limitations or anyone who has to climb stairs to bring their groceries home but if you don't have those issues then it's definitely not worth it. Even if you do the price outweighs any positives I would rather buy smaller lighter bags than spend literally 5X as much than the generic brand, this product was over $10 for 8.5lbs and generic brand is 99 cents for 7 lbs at my local Walmart. I feel that the company is taking advantage of people who could benefit from this product by charging so much more for it. Straight out of the container it has a fresh scent but that's about the only positive thing I have to say about it.

After two weeks we had to quit using this product because the "fragrance" was overwhelming. We returned to the heavier product. Perhaps the oder control system is the same but the lightweight material releases the oder way too fast. Although we have not use the product for several days, the "fragrance" remains in the house and is still bothersome. Perhaps this product does not need as much of the "oder control". Try reducing it. I was delighted with the weight and purchased 2 . I am going back to regular Tidy Cats multiple cats. Would have been willing to pay the extra but agree with others . This tracks too much, is dusty and the odor control is not as good as the original clumping multi cats plus costs more   I have 2 cats. 

I tried this for 2 months, I loved the light weight, but it tracked everywhere, worse than what I was previously using. As far as controlling odor, it did not do nearly as good a job as the old litter, more like it just covered it up, and my kids kept asking why it smelled like fabric softener every time I changed the litter :-) Sadly, I would not recommend this, and I really, really wanted it to be a good product.

I am so disappointed in the Light Weight cat litter. It does an excellent job with the exception of the dust it creats. If you can continue with the light weight of the product but reduce the dust I would continue to use this product. I am going back to the heavier litter. The dust and coughing from cleaning is not worth the product.

Due to untimely back surgery that limited what I could lift, and a need to fill a litter box, I grabbed a jug of this. I have two cats and two litter boxes(they do #1 and #2 in separate boxes for some reason). The #1 box was filled with this lightweight litter, and I was dubious because one cat is picky. Works like a charm! Yes, the smell from the fresh litter is a bit much, but it fades. And it controls odors. I still use the regular clumping litter for my #2 box because my cats get a little carried away when 'hiding the evidence' and all the lightweight litter was flung about the room.

I have an elderly cat that if very fussy and an adult male cat that likes to "bury". Litter worked well to easily pour in, kept the smell minimal and easy to scoop out. Both cats used the litter for 1 week (scooping and filling). Highly recommend
