It might be light weight but it doesn't help with odor, we have to use more of it., and we have to change the letterbox a lot more frequently I will be glad when we have finished with this and can go back to our regular litter. Very poor product and would not recommend it to anyone!

My cats (4) love it. So easy to use by weight and scooping is a breeze! I cannot lift or pour the others into the cat box like I used to so this was a great surprise! I have found it through the internet because Target raised the price too much to not look elsewhere. Someone here said it is messy...not for me, the other litter scratches the floor but this does not. The smell is refreshing and I smell no urine (important with 4 cats)!! My cat box is a Rubbermaid storage container (8" deep but wider and longer than any cat boxes) and the size is great for multiple cats but impossible to move with standard litter...I am very happy with this Lightweight!!!

We recently started using this product and I am hooked! It is so much lighter and easier for me to manage while shopping with my children. The quality is the same as other Tidy Cats litter, but a much better container and weight! I especially love having a handle. My cats had no problem with the switch.

My cat refused to try it for a month, and then finally started using it for feces but not for urine. She urinates outside of the box, so I have to wash the rug outside the litter box daily. The closed container of litter made the closet smell musty where I stored it. The litter is dusty, and it gets tracked out of the litter box worse than any other litter I have used. I wish it worked for me, but the cons outweigh the only pro, which is that it is lightweight.

Get ready for a blow Purina: this won’t be pretty. I’ve had cats literally my entire life. I know the litter game. I understand the finicky, picky cats who only like that one type of litter or they’ll go elsewhere. I also know the kind that don’t give a hoot. This is hands down the WORST litter I have ever come into contact with. I have a Turkish Van and he doesn’t care about the litter type, as long as his princess box is clean. Yes, I clean it just about every day or so. Normally, we just go for the cheapest stuff we find at Walmart because he’s not fussy, so hey-save some money. It’s also not clumping. Well, they ran out last time, so I decided to try this lightweight clumping stuff. On a scale of 1-10 nopes, I’d give this a solid 439 nopes. I have had to literally wash out the litter from his paws because it is stuck in there. ALMOST DAILY. at first I thought eh, he just needs to learn this new litter. Nope. It always ends up between his toes-and no, there isn’t an excessive amount of hair between his toes. Another HUGE nope: the amount of litter that flings out of the box (it has a lid with a ramp-he’s 13, old man) is so ridiculous, I vacuum literally every time he goes in there. I even have a mini vac plugged in nex to the box! The “lightweight” feature of this litter is useless as well-the one time trip I’m hauling it from the store to my home isn’t worth it. The bag/jug of litter gets lighter as you use the litter, people! It’s so lightweight, that it’s absorbancy is pathetic, causing my cats urine to pool instead of clump. He is older like I said. And with age usually comes the kidney problems. Like I said before, I’ve had cats my whole life and played the “best” litter game for 30 years now. This is the biggest loser in the history of litter. I think pebbles or soil would even be a better choice than this mess. If I could deter one person from buying this monstrosity of so-called litter, the cat world would be a better place. I will never ever buy this product again.

Out all several cat litters I have tried, I always go back to Purina Tidy Cats Light Weight Litter. The reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because it is not 99% dust-free like it says on the container. It's not as dusty as other cat litter, but there is dust that makes me cough occasionally. Besides that, I love that it is light weight! Not only is it easier for me to carry, but it is easier for me to scoop. It clumps perfectly. It's very easy and light to scoop everything in the litter box, which helps get the job done in seconds! I clean daily (like you're supposed to) so I don't have any problems with it turning to a clay-like substance.

Have tried 2 times....I'm in my 70's and on oxygen. Thought this would be great but was wrong. I can't carry heavy things. This nearly makes it. However, the odor control leave a lot to be desired. Constantly smells like urine. Will go back to old ones and have my daughter buy it because it's too heavy

I've used Tidy Cats for years and was excited about the new product. However, I'm very disappointed in it and will not be purchasing it again. In fact, I don't even think I'll use what's left in the tub. It claims to be 99.9% dust free, but you can easily see the large cloud of dust that appears when you pour the litter into the box and each time you scoop. Plus, my two cats smell like litter all the time, indicating that they collect the dust on their fur after each use. Even more frustrating is how badly the litter is tracked and left EVERYWHERE throughout the house. The litter is so lightweight it gets caught in their paws and fur. I've found piles of litter on the bed in my bedroom, which is on the totally opposite side of the house as far away as you can get from the litter box. I used to vacuum every few weeks, but now I have to vacuum at least once a week. It's very annoying and not worth the extra cost to me. Like I said, I'll definitely be going back to the old stuff.

This litter sticks to my cat's paws, and the urine smell is horrible. Instead of changing the litter was a week for regular Tidy Cat we now have to change it every other day. My cat would rather go outside to go to the bathroom instead of using her litter box. She Hates this litter.
