I love this litter -- and I have tried many different litters. Growing up, we always used a clay litter for our cats and when I got my own I did the same. Eventually the dust that was everywhere was too much because I didn't have a space that was just for the cats, I needed something else. Thinking that dust was my only issue, I tried a pine litter - the cats thought it was torture when I tried to scratch their paws in it, and then I bought an expensive corn litter that they didn't mind. I was in love with the litter at first, but after two months of using this corn litter and the unpleasant smells it doesn't eliminate, the not so clumpy clumps I had to try and scoop, and the gnats that were always present weren't working for me. The final straw I had with the corn litter was that my cats started going outside the box. I am very patient cat mom and made sure they were healthy, started cranberry supplements for potential UTI's, cleaned their box daily, and made their worlds as stress free as possible and it was still happening. I ventured to my local store and figured I would give this a try, none of my cat-loving friends were too thrilled about any of the litter they used, and this one had not been tested! I am extremely satisfied with my purchase needless to say. There have been no messes on the floor (one of my cats ran to the box the first time I put it in and it looked like he was just given all the beef liver in the world -- he is a bit of a tub), almost no dust (when poured slowly and evenly across the pan), most all of the smell is eliminated (if I could only get one of my cats to learn to cover their potty), and it is so light, making it easier to purchase and use. I couldn't be happier!

I was excited to try the new lightweight litter, until I got to the cash register. I was going to buy a couple jugs but went home with only one. And I'm glad I did. I have two cats -- they're 17 and have always been very fussy about their litter, especially one of them. He wouldn't go in the box with the new litter. My other cat did use it, but as others have already commented, I found myself having to clean his paws every time. I liked how it clumped because my cats go quite a bit, so that was a plus. The bigger negative was the scent. Cats don't like new smells, and I also think whatever the fragrance ingredient was caused one of my cats to have a reaction in the form of a little infection (runny stools and diarrhea) that started shortly after introducing the new litter (nothing else in their routine had changed). So I've gone back to the regular clumping formula that has the little crystals (but not the new one with Glade scent) they've been using for years (still Tidy Cat brand). 

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tidy Cats Lightweight 24/7 Performing Cat Litter works well for my cat. It clumps good for easy scooping and it has decent odor control, but the ammonia blocker can be a bit strong at times. The jug is super convenient for carrying and pouring. I love that it is lightweight, but I am not sure I can call this dust free. Most importantly my cat seems to like it.

Tried this with a 2 year old cat who never had trouble using her box. After switching to lightweight formula she began using the carpet as a place for elimination. She would not step into her box until we switched back to regular litter. Wish I could have my clean carpet back!

The absolute worst litter we have ever tried. It's very dusty, gets everywhere and causes my cats to sneeze all the time. It also gets stuck to their legs, feet and butt more than any we have tried. On top of that, they are able to track the litter all over the house with ease and make a mess. I'm assuming due to how light weight it is. I would not recommend this litter to my worst enemy.

Change to the Light Weight litter about 2 yrs ago. I find it just as good as the Tidy Cats reg. littler. The cost is a little more but the trade off is worth the couple of dollars and I would venture to say it has lasted a little long. I have 3 cats and they love it.

It works well, but I have "sensitivity" issues and I find the fragrance overpowering. In order to be able to use it, when I purchase a box I open it and the plastic inner bag, and then store it (in the basement, garage) someplace where I can't smell it while it "airs out" stirring it occasionally to speed the dissipation of the fragrance. Also, customers such as myself would be better served it the fact that it does contain a fragrance were noted more prominently on the box. As it is, I found only one single reference "with Clean Linen Scent" in small print on one end of the box. I will continue to use it, taking the above mentioned mitigation measures, but it would be nice if you did make an "unscented" version.

I bought Tidy Cats Light Weight litter a litter over 2 weeks ago to try something new, I had been using the regular Tidy Cats Glade Littter. I have to say this litter impressed me very much, not only that it is lightweight but there seems to be a significantly less amount of litter being tracked around my home by my 2 cats! I am very pleased!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Figured I'd give this a shot based on the lightweight part of it alone. It's great, for multi cat households. The lightweight aspect is great, not only to transport the litter but when scooping or changing it doesn't weigh your trash bags down a lot causing them to normally tear. The only thing I don't like is it tracks everywhere.

This product made much more work for me! It's great to pick up a lighter box of cat litter. It is NOT great that the light weight means the litter tracks out of the box on the cat's feet! I am sweeping my floors multiple times a day because the lighter weight litter sticks to my cat's feet and tracks everywhere! It is a mess and I'll never buy this product again.
