I tried the Lightweight but I did not like it. Very messy, hard to vacuum and left a dusty residue. The clincher was my cat refused to use it after a few weeks. I had to return to the regular Tidy Cat……..new box etc. Miss Kitty is back to her ol self!

My husband used to complain about the litterbox odor even after I cleaned. Not any more. Although not dust free it is better and I notice less litter tracking around the house. There is still a bunch right outside the box but at least there is less tracking. Although expensive, I feel like I am having to change less frequently. And I love the weight. It is worth it.

I like the litter and the lighter weight is great. I don't have the "dust" problem, which is also wonderful, and it works well in my Litter Maid automatic litter box. It does track a little, but then I haven't found a litter that doesn't. My main complaint is the price for the quantity. Overall, though, I and my 2 cats like it.

I bought it because it was easier for me to lift, and I had been using other Tidy Cat litters. It is the worst I have ever used. It leaves a fine powdery dust every where. I recently moved the pans upstairs because of health issues and now it is all over the furniture etc. I can even feel it on the computer desk. Me and my cats are coughing and sneezing.

I like it, but it's not as good as the original "heavy weight" stuff. I think it's slightly less effective on odor control, but the main problem is that it tracks everywhere. I find it in my bed, which I mapped out at a full 30 (human) paces from the litter box, around multiple corners, and over multiple surfaces including carpet, tile, and a rug. I really wanted to like it, but after 2 pails of it, I'm tired of finding litter everywhere, so I'm going back to the original.

I have been using the new lightweight Tidy Cats ever since it first came out. We have two cats and two litter boxes, so we go thru quite a bit of it. I really like the wide mouth plastic bucket that the larger size comes in. I can use it for other things when it is empty.

We recently started using this product and I am hooked! It is so much lighter and easier for me to manage while shopping with my children. The quality is the same as other Tidy Cats litter, but a much better container and weight! I especially love having a handle. My cats had no problem with the switch.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried Purina Tidy Cats LightWeight, Low Dust, Clumping Cat Litter Odor Control 24/7 Performance Multi Cat Litter, hoping it would make litter maintenance easier. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.Despite claims of being low dust, I found this litter to be quite dusty. Each time I poured or scooped, a noticeable cloud of dust emerged, settling on nearby surfaces and making cleaning more burdensome. The lightweight nature of this litter led to significant tracking. I discovered particles far beyond the litter box area, requiring frequent sweeping and vacuuming. This was particularly frustrating, as it negated the convenience I was seeking. I noticed that unpleasant smells lingered despite regular scooping. The litter's scent itself was also quite strong and not particularly pleasant. The clumping performance was inconsistent. Some clumps formed adequately, while others disintegrated upon scooping.

I  bought it thinking it would be the same dust-free  formula that Tidycats normally uses. Not the case. Every time I went to scoop, clouds of dust would billow into the air. It also resulted in my kitten having sneeze attacks until I changed the litter. I don't want to breathe that poo-dust either. No thank you. I will say that it covered  the smell pretty well, though, I think I'll be sticking with the heavy litter. I don't need waste particulates floating around my house.

It is definitely much lighter than traditional cat litter, and I also find the odor of the cat litter itself less offensive than the normal "scent" of regular tidy cats. Seems less dusty as well. Have only had it in the box for a day or so, so no comment of its effectiveness yet.
