I received the sample in the mail from Tidy and used it last week when I changed the litter.  It is a little dustier than I expected, but that is not a big deal for me.  Just for health in general, I use a dust mask when scooping the litter. It works just as well as the Tidy blue-top bucket that I used to buy, and the newer Tidy with Glade that I use now.  The odor control is just as good, and it clumps just as tight.   The best part about it is the fact that my disabled mom, who normally scoops the litter for me during the week while I am working, does not have to struggle nearly as much.  The clumps with the normal stuff are hard and heavy for her when stuck on the walls of the litter box, but she is really happy with the lightweight litter, and she does not have to struggle nearly as much. As soon as this stuff hits the stores, I'm switching to it! Also, I really like the Glade scent, so this with the Glade scent would be awesome too!  As a side note, I have no problem carrying the heavy 38lb buckets that I buy, but I know that older people who have cats as companions are going to love this stuff and how lightweight it is!! 

I have been using Tidy cats litter for years now, and I have never been disappointed. A few weeks ago, I had seen a sale on another brand, so I picked that up. I came home one day to my house smelling like...well...you know....cat poop!!! Nothing worse than that! I soon remembered that it was the new cat litter!!! Never again will I switch cat litters!! I will be a Tidy fan for life!

With 2 cats, we go through the litter! We are faithful Tidy Cats litter purchasers. However, in spite of the lighter weight, unfortunately, I will not be buying this particular product again. Odor control, clumping, were fine, but in our experience, it is too dusty.

But now that I have tried this lightweight tidy cats litter I find that there is no dust, it is very light to handle and it clumps very well. It also controls the smell for weeks at a time. Good stuff!

I usually buy the 4-in-1 Tidy Cats variety but couldn't find it so I decided to try the 24/7. I would never purchase this again. The scent is overwhelming and doesn't really mask odors. Also, the white crystals in the litter (I assume the scent crystals) get absolutely everywhere.

I love the weight of the new product, but I know why it's so light....it's ALL DUST!! If you could make it as light as this new product and get rid of all the dust that it has and spreads all over everything when poured out, you would definitely have something to brag about!!

as litter goes, this is my favorite- i have 3 herniated discs and cannot lift the heavier type litters without a lot of pain and stress- i tried this brand for that very reason and i like it a lot- it is well worth the extra expense if you have a problem with lifting weight- it clumps nicely - the cats seem to like it too- buying it in the large containers helps to cut the extra expense a little- the good part is that walmart delivers it right to my front door so i don't have to wrestle with getting it home from the grocery store and into the house from the driveway- i would recommend it to anyone, especially if you have multiple cats - it works great-the empty pails make good storage containers when they are empty-

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a coupon for a free sample of Tidy Cats LightWeight with Ammonia Blocker from PINCHme to try it out. I normally use the lightweight litter, but a different brand. We used the coupon right away and put it to the test. It worked wonders for our Kitty. Really did a fine job of blocking the smells over a long period of time. We aren't the best with keeping the litter box cleaned out, but even after a couple days of use we couldn't smell a thing (other than the fresh scent of the litter!) . Kitty took right to it and it was very easy to clean up. We will be getting some more of this as soon as the sample container runs out!!

I usually buy generic clumping from Walmart or Superstore - those work fairly well but are very very dusty and sometimes the clumps are quite gooey. Picked up the Tidy Cats lightweight cause they were out of my regular brand. I found it to be heavily perfumed, but cats don't mind. The clumps are never gooey. I have only about 1/2 the waste compared to my regular litter (usually have about 3-4 poop bags filled compared to 2 with Tidy Cats). So I think it's worth it, since I am using less litter, it's lighter and very easy to scoop & the dust is much decreased from generic clumping litter.

I was tired of carrying the heavier buckets of litter up and down my stairs so I tried the light weight .... BIG MISTAKE! I have a Litter Robot that waits for 7 minutes for the litter to clump then rotates and sifts the clumps from the rest and dumps it in a drawer down below. This light weight litter was like sawdust and the smell was horrible ... so bad that my cat pooped outside the robot! I had to empty the entire robot and refill it. I will have to go out and buy my old litter and bleach that whole corner of my basement to make sure it's clean. I'm so very disappointed because the packaging states it acts like regular litter and does NOT specify that it's not good for litter machines. Back to the drawing board Tidy Cat .... you've lost my business!!
