I was really looking forward to a favorable experience with this light weight litter. It's a great concept but my cats won't cover their waste with this Tidy Cat Lightweight litter in their normal way because the soap fragrance added to the litter, by the manufacturer, is way over the top. I suggest a fragrance free option and maybe I will try it again.

Wish I could thank the two ladies who talk to me about this at Sam's club yesterday. I really like this litter for my kittens and my kittens love letter too. It actually does mask the urine and poop smell. I had to go check the litter box because I thought my kittens hadn't used the bathroom. And behold pee and poop was in the litter. Not to also mention it is so much lighter than the original litter I was using.

First of all, thank you for the free sample! I like the Tidy Cats Light Weight. I appreciate the light weight! I feel though that the odor control was not as good as the Tidy Cats Instant Action Clumping Cat Litter. I have tried many litters and I always go back to Instant Action! My cats didn't seem to mind which litter I use. So I guess my overall rating is that it wasn't bad but not my first choice! Thanks for you time.

I tried Tidy cats light weight Litter two months ago and I can't imagine how I lived without it!!! I don't typically write reviews but this product is worth talking about. It's amazingly light weight which is a huge plus when doing big shopping. It absorbs so well and leaves no Oder at all! This is the only Litter I will use from now on.

I thought it would be nice to have a lightweight litter. It is easier to carry from store to car to home to room it is being used. It still does its job of keeping out unpleasant pet odors. It is easier to manage when pouring in more litter. The cats do not have a problem using it. The only problem is that because it is lightweight it tends to be messier. I am constantly sweeping around the cat box because of all the cat litter that is tracked out. I wish this problem could be solved because it is the only major con about this product. I would still let my friends know about this new product because they may still see it better than toting a heavier container.

I have been using Tidy Cat Litter for years! When I found out that they had developed a light weight litter I was thrilled. However, I found it so dusty that I had to cover my mouth and nose with a wash cloth especially when adding more. Plus my second bathroom was covered in a very fine dust and had to be completely re-cleaned. Very disappointed with this product!

I have been using the small spaces litter for my (one) cat, and decided to try this since it's lighter (I live in a high rise). I was very disappointed though and had to leave this review. This is the most dusty litter I have ever come across! I have mild asthma and could not breathe just scooping the box - never mind refilling it!! Plus another huge negative - it gets tracked SO much more than the regular one! It also sticks to my cat's fur and paws when completely dry for further tracking. I have to sweep/vacuum multiple times a day instead of once. Clumping for urine works much better (doesn't stick to box as much - huge plus) but it's probably from the film of dust! And I don't know what people are referring to about good odor control - clean box smells after one use. I do not recommend.

I just bought this "new" Tidy Cats Lightweight after buying into the 99.9% dust free claim. I am uncertain how there test and evaluation team came up with that number but I assure you that this product produces dust. I just poured it from the box into a clean litter pan and the dust billowed out of the pan and created a breath taking dust cloud in my utility room. Not good will not purchase again.

I wanted to like it. Because of its lighter weight, I tried this product despite it costing significantly more than the regular Tidy Cats scooping litter I've always used. It deserves 4 stars for clumping ability, although as some other reviewers have mentioned the clumps seem to stick to the box and the cats seem to track more litter through the house. Where this product fails is in odor control, which I consider one of the most important elements in litter selection as I'd prefer not to have my home smell like a dirty cat box. Although I scoop the boxes daily, the urine smell was so strong within a few days of putting in the new litter that I was afraid the cats would no longer want to use them. As soon as you walked in the house you immediately noticed the cat box smell. I was very disappointed with this product.
