I bought this instantly when I first heard about it. I was very excited about the weight and ease of carrying it from the car to the house!! HOWEVER, my cats hated this litter. It is too light and they didn't like the way it felt on their paws compared to their favorite Tidy Cat Clumping litter. One of them started to urinate and defecate on our bed because of it and it continued until I purchased the old litter and bought another box. This is just a tip from me: Do not replace ALL the litter in your home. Replace one box at a time to test it out. If I had done it this way it may have been a different outcome. I did notice that they all acted like this litter was not their favorite because they used the "cautious paw" when they stepped in the box and always acted like they were tip-toeing in them.

I've used this since I adopted 2 cats last year. I've always hated dealing with the litter boxes and carrying it from the store. This litter has been wonderful It does have a little dust when pouring, but not when I scoop. I'd definitely recommend for people to try this litter.

I've been using this for a couple of months (at least), and I love it. It does an outstanding job in my 3-cat potty. Yes, it does track a little more, and it's very dusty - I wish they could do something about that - but the light weight and superior clumping and odor control are worth it. Excellent for those with arthritic hands!

I see a lot of negative reviews, but I like this litter and don't plan on buying anything else from here on. Not only is it light when lifting and carrying but it is real light when you scoop it, so it makes the scoop just glide through it. That is hard to explain but it is a different texture. I don't know about odor control because I keep my boxes scooped out at least 2x a day with a window open in the cat room, so I don't really have an odor issue. It is dusty when you pour it, but I have yet to find a litter that isn't. I don't notice any more tracking than usual. I keep big litter mats all around the boxes (I have 3 cats) and that seems to contain it well enough. The reason I did not give 5 stars is because it is expensive. I am willing to pay more for the convenience of being able to carry it easily (and it makes it so much easier to take the old used litter to the trash when you dump the box and wash it out) but if someone comes up with the same formula at a lower price, I will try it.

I started using this in late fall of 2013 and really loved it, didn't think it could do the job of the heavier litters, but I was wrong, it does and I absolutely loved it, except for one thing.  It is really, really dusty.  I am going to have to stop using it because of it and hope that maybe you can do something to correct this and make it less dust free.  I am 70 y/o and was so happy to find this product because of the weight of all the other litter.  I also have 7  cats and use a lot of it, so I really need a litter that is more dust free.   So I hate it that I am going to have to go back to the heavier products.  I will still use Tidy Cat, but just won't be the LightWeight.  

I was really excited about having a light weight litter. It worked well, was easy to scoop, however gets stuck in the cats fur. We have Maine Coon cats, so long haired, and I did find litter on them and noticed litter around the house which has not happened in the past. I will continue to use Tidy Cat but not the Light Weight kind for now. Thanks!

We love using the Lightweight, having 19 cats means a lot of cat litter, the only downside we find is that the lightweight formula is too dusty compared to other lightweight brands, we still use this but only in our bathroom litter boxes, seems the blower keeps the dust to a minimum vs. it being in our other boxes.

The kitty didn't seem to notice the difference. It is so much lighter to carry. As you know as you get older you can not carry as much weight. I had been buying the buckets(which were great) but they got to heavy for me to carry. So I had changed to the jugs. Now that is is light weight, works just as well as the regular Tidy Cat, i am very happy. Can't thank you enough.

The idea is great but I found like the other reviewer that this was much dustier than my favorite, TC Power Blend. It was also really sticky when scooping and I had to wash the litter scoop almost daily. When I washed the box out there were lots of little white particles so I'm wondering if the 50% price increase and light weight are due to zeolite in the mix. A good idea for ammonia adsorption but overall LightWeight needs a bit of reformulating.

Have 2 big boys, one is diabetic. The urine clumps are great, the lightweight feature is fantastic, odor control good. I disagree with the dust free claim. I use 6 jugs each time I change the boxes and there is always a thick dust cloud that sends me into a fit of coughing. Also, as one of my boys is asthmatic, it is not ideal. my medium haired guy is leaving dusty footprints everywhere! May have to switch back to regular litter :-(
