I purchased this TidyCats Light Weight litter as a second choice because the Members Mark litter was no longer available. I did comparative shopping for price and effectiveness and because I had previously used TidyCats litter and liked it, I decided to try the TidyCats LightWeight. Result: my cat likes it! It has lasted a lot longer than I expected! I would definitely purchase again.

Half the weight and at least half the dust, Tidy Cats lightweight cat litter is quite an improvement. It appears a lot easier for cats to bury their deposits and it's easy to push the scoop through when cleaning up the litter box. I highly recommend it.

Looks darker now, which would not be a problem if the product worked like it used to. we used to have complete odor control and now it doesn't seem to do anything. we clean our litter out every day. we also noticed the clumping sucks. like the urine doesn't clump hard enough and just breaks onto dark pieces and adds more smell. I'm not sure what they did to the formula but they didn't improve it.

I’d been purchasing this litter elsewhere in the 17 lb. plastic tubs and they are no longer available, so I thought I’d try the cardboard box. It says it has an “easy pour” bag, which is not, and the dust is awful. Besides that, there was litter all inside the box, around the bag. What a mess! Guess I’ll pay more for the jugs in the future.

We like the clumping litter for our cat and cannot lift 40 lbs without some pain. So, this lighter weight version is easier to lift. However, our cat often ends up with gooey paws. The stuff imbeds itself like cement between his pads. We wash his feet under warm running water, which he hates. We have to switch back to the heavier version, and will have the ask for assistance to get it into our vehicle. At home we’ll use a dolly to get it into the basement.
