[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the original/older automatic litter boxes, instructions said to use a "premium clumping litter," which I did with the "regular" Tidy Cats litte. Turns out, that because it clumped so hard, esp. sticking to the bottom and sides of the box, the motor to the rake would burn out trying to push, break free! I got multiple replacements, because the motor died before the warranty was up, which is nice enough, but a big pain to file, then wait for a replacement. The instructions should have read, use "Purina Tidy Cats Lightweight litter," as our current auto. box has been going strong for years now!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it but I do feel with all of these cause I just go ahead and very from all the lightweight ones whichever the store has, but I don't know if it's because my cat doesn't cover it well enough, but I never feel the odor control properties working well enough anytime he goes poo poo. I feel like I always smell it, but and he always tracks it a bit kicks it out of the litter box a bit he does have like one of the open on the top just a higher like side litter box, but yeah, I don't know how it like wouldn't track so it's good enough. 

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm preparing for a house guest. I'll be taking care of my grandkitty for a couple of weeks while my daughter is away. I bought ONLY THE BEST for my special house guest, and that includes TIDY CATS clumping litter! The “LightWeight” and “Odor Control” are just what I need!

Purina changed the formula, and it is worthless. It does not dry out fast enough. My cat ends up leaving a trail of white paw prints, of soiled litter, all over the house because it sticks to his paws. It makes a mess of the litter scooper. It's so lightweight that it's like filling the litterbox with styrofoam shavings; they scatter all over the room where the litterbox is (and the litterbox has a lid). Purina needs to go back to the old formula.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My six furry felines love the product. I appreciate the easy clumping and scooping aspect. The packaging, specifically opening the container, has become a real struggle for my 72 year old hands to open.

I hate the new design of the box. They have made it so inconvenient to pour the liter into the box. Especially when you buy a box that big it's clumsy. Bring back the old design of the box where the box was perforated at the top and there was no mess or waste. You have also changed the liter it is like it's more dense not light colored and weightless.

I bought this over the regular clumping litter, and thought the light weight would be a blessing to me. But now that I have used most of the box, I have discovered that the clumps do NOT hold together as well as the old heavy litter. They often break apart when dipping them out, and I end up straining most of the litter box to find these small stray pieces. I re-fill the litter box as needed, about every ten days to two weeks. I dip it out several times a day. The light weight is nice when I am filling it. The loss of clump integrity is a pain several times a day. And - if you cat is a 'thrower' when they dig in the box, you will find the litter strewn more voluminously and further due to it's light weight. All in all, I will not buy it again.

I bought this with it being lightweight and my family has used Tidy Cats for years. I was disappointed when I bought this and find that litter is EVERYWHERE in my house. I have to sweep everyday to get rid of it. The current one I bought is having the urine stick to the sides and bottom of my box. I actually broke one of my shifters trying to clean it off. At first I really liked it, but now I will be going to a different brand so I dont have to strain to pick up the litter and not have it tracked all over my home.

Half the weight and at least half the dust, Tidy Cats lightweight cat litter is quite an improvement. It appears a lot easier for cats to bury their deposits and it's easy to push the scoop through when cleaning up the litter box. I highly recommend it.
