Product IS NOT DUST FREE & my cats leave a dusty, moist foot trail when leaving the litter box. It does last longer than most litter. The newer your litter box, the better the litter works. Product clumps better when left standing for a while to bond tighter before cleaning.

[Employee of purina] We use tidy cat clumping,we have tryed this new product with our cat's for years. I worked for Purina for years so I know they make good products. So with that said this light weight litter good idea to make it lighter for easy handling. But the fact is it doesnot work well ,have to change out twice as much as the regular tidy cat. My wife has noticed that it leaves a dust when the cat is trying to cover it which travels. Also gets in their paws as they come out, an yes we do have mat's down around box. I like tidy cat has good track record. But I think this product needs to go back to the think box.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the original/older automatic litter boxes, instructions said to use a "premium clumping litter," which I did with the "regular" Tidy Cats litte. Turns out, that because it clumped so hard, esp. sticking to the bottom and sides of the box, the motor to the rake would burn out trying to push, break free! I got multiple replacements, because the motor died before the warranty was up, which is nice enough, but a big pain to file, then wait for a replacement. The instructions should have read, use "Purina Tidy Cats Lightweight litter," as our current auto. box has been going strong for years now!

Keeping a consistent level of litter makes scooping easier and also maintains a fresher smell. It is so much easier to handle. I am 79 years young and the lightweight is easier to carry into, and out of the house. My back thanks you.
