If this litter lighter, and therefor easier to haul to and from the car? Yes. Is that convenience worth it? No. The Light Weight litter is more expense than Tidy Cat's traditional litters, and it doesn't clump as well. If you try to scoop it too early, the "clumps" are more like lumps of tacky clay that require lots of knocking and scraping, especially if you're using a sifter pan or similar set-up.

I use the light weight liter and love it I have 2 cats and 1 dog the cats were my sons who is now a Unite states Marine and is swerving in japan he misses his cats but they are older and cant go with him but the tidy cats is all i buy for there liter box

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never tried a lightweight cat litter before. It was such a nice suprise when I lifted up the bottle. We have 7 cats and I use 4 litter boxes so that I can go a few days between scooping them. I put the lightweight in one box and our regular kind in the other boxes. They used the old kind first, but they did use the lightweight one, too. It was such a shock to scoop it and have it still be very light weight. I loved that. It clumped perfectly. I love how it's dust free. There was no scent, good or bad and I REALLY liked that, too. I hate the perfumey scent that some of them have . It's almost as bad as the cat odors. I would definitely recommend this and use it again!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TIDY CATS 24/7 PERFORMANCE LIGHTWEIGHT LITTER is a great cat litter because you can easily lift the jug to refill the litter box. Also the litter clumps nicely and does not smell. I would highly recommend this product!

The idea is great but I found like the other reviewer that this was much dustier than my favorite, TC Power Blend. It was also really sticky when scooping and I had to wash the litter scoop almost daily. When I washed the box out there were lots of little white particles so I'm wondering if the 50% price increase and light weight are due to zeolite in the mix. A good idea for ammonia adsorption but overall LightWeight needs a bit of reformulating.

I bought some of this last week because I have a bad back and the normal weight containers are painful to lift. My little cat, Sophie, has two litter boxes so I filled one with the new light weight litter. She used it twice then not only quit using that box, she quit using either box until I removed the new litter and replaced it with the normal weight litter. The only thing I can figure is the lightweight stuff is so perfumed it's like the living nightmare of walking into a department store perfume section. If it smells too strong to me, imagine how smelly it is to a poor cat who has many more olfactory sensors in her tiny little nose.

I purchased this a while ago to test it out. I was skeptical of the "lightness" of it until I picked the giant bottle up and I almost threw it. It is supremely light, though not as light as the commercial makes it seem (of course). The only downside for me is that I have a long haired cat (Himalayan) and the smell of the litter always seems to stick with her.

Because I work in rescue, people have been sending my your coupons, knowing I can always use litter.  I bought a container and LOVE the weight and texture but cannot use anything so heavily scented.  The heavy scent creates problems with the cats, they quit using the box.  PLEASE CREATE A SCENT FREE VERSION OF THIS GREAT NEW PRODUCT.

I was so excited for this product. Filled the litter box in the morning and when I returned back from work there were paw prints everywhere. It doesn't absorb!!! Lightweight - yes, but it needs to absorb like the traditional tidy cat. awfull mess. I can not recommend this product.
