That dust that pours into the air when you clean or refill the box is non-existent. It controls the odors like there is no tomorrow(I tested this by not cleaning it and it took about 4-5 days to smell). Anyone who finds a little that doesn't stick the the cats paws AND works just as good if not better, please inform me. XD I have yet to find one that doesn't stick to their paws. Even Arm&Hammer does. No need to low star it for this one reason, idiots. I will and do consistently recommend this litter to everyone i know. The only thing I hate about it is the price. lol.

Sophie is a rescue. She was 8 months old when I brought her home 2 years ago with a “starter” litter pan and litter that was given to me. She was slowly recovering, but greatly weakened, from near starvation and trauma. She seemed to have difficulty pawing through the litter and covering her waste. I thought this might be because of the trauma she experienced or, perhaps, she was not taught proper litter-box usage as a young kitten. A family member wondered if the problem might be the litter pan and/or litter. I was willing to try anything. I purchased the largest litter pan I could and filled it with the lightest litter I could find, Tidy Cats Lightweight. I was amazed to see how much easier Sophie could paw through the litter! Right away she began attempting to cover her waste up. I worked with her as she got stronger and, over time, her litter box “etiquette” improved. In addition, this litter has other fine qualities such as appreciable odor control, great absorbency and fantastic clumping. I consider Tidy Cat Lightweight to be a superior litter. Finally, because I have my own physical strength limitations, I am appreciative to be able to purchase a litter that doesn’t require my asking someone to carry the litter jugs for me. My issues aside, however, I will always be grateful there was a litter that made such a noticeable difference to my beloved Sophie. We like it. We really like it.

I love that it is lightweight and I can buy a bucket myself. But it is very very dusty. This is a problem for my sinuses. Also, after my cats use the box they smell like litter. The dust gets in their fur and makes them smell like the box. I am going back to the box with the red lid.

I'm so disappointed in this litter. I've used Tidy Cats for years and always hated lugging the heavy litter around. However, this litter, while lightweight, is horrible! It is VERY dusty. There is literally a layer of dust on my furniture now and a cloud of dust erupt every time I scoop. The fragrance is too strong and is nauseating. On top of all of that, the litter gets tracked all over the house where previous litter did not. It even sticks to my cats' fur! I will. Not be buying this again!

I found this litter to be excellent as far as dust is concerned, I know others ad some real problems with it. Maybe my batch was different? I will not be buying it again however due to the tracking issues. I scoop twice a day and vacuum my way to the box each time otherwise its like walking on Rice Krispies and the resulting particles take the shine right off my tile floor. Tried a few mats outside the box which helped some but added to the daily clean up time.

My cats (4) love it. So easy to use by weight and scooping is a breeze! I cannot lift or pour the others into the cat box like I used to so this was a great surprise! I have found it through the internet because Target raised the price too much to not look elsewhere. Someone here said it is messy...not for me, the other litter scratches the floor but this does not. The smell is refreshing and I smell no urine (important with 4 cats)!! My cat box is a Rubbermaid storage container (8" deep but wider and longer than any cat boxes) and the size is great for multiple cats but impossible to move with standard litter...I am very happy with this Lightweight!!!

My cat started sneezing a lot a few weeks ago, but otherwise did not seem sick. Eventually she developed loose stools and the sneezing intensified, so I took her to the vet. The vet suspected allergies and started questioning me about any changes in the cat's environment. Light bulb in my brain!!! Duh...the sneezing began about the time I switched from the regular heavy bag Tidy Cat's litter I had been using with her for 10 years to the lightweight version. As soon as I replaced the litter with the old heavy bag type, her symptoms stopped immediately. Watch for sneezing with your cat if you use this product!

Have used Tidy Cats litter for many years with good results but have from time to time 'experimented' with other brands. This time I chose the new Lightweight. Very disappointing! Does not control odor at all. Very dusty. Won't waste my money again. Will go back to my 'basic' Tidy Cats litter. Not the greatest but of all the others much more acceptable.

I recently bought the 8 lb. container of tidy cat lightweight, first time using any tidy cat product. Love the small, lighter weight container. As a senior citizen I find the large containers nearly impossible to lift. The first time I filled the litter box with this product I noticed there was very little dust, very important for me, and it didn't have any odor or fragrance. All in all the best litter product I have ever used. Thanks.

I love this litter. I have 2 huge cats (25 pounds each) and so I go through a ton of litter. I am so happy to have found a super lightweight litter. We keep the box in the basement so this is easy to transport down there. Plus it's easy to scoop too. It clumbs into perfect balls too. I just went back and got 2 more jugs of it! Hope it sticks around for a long time.
