Cats' sense of smell is immensely greater than humans. My cat won't get in the litter box with this litter. PLEASE sell a lightweight UNSCENTED litter. The stench of the perfume in this litter (and so many other products these days) is overwhelming to me and my cat.

Out all several cat litters I have tried, I always go back to Purina Tidy Cats Light Weight Litter. The reason why I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because it is not 99% dust-free like it says on the container. It's not as dusty as other cat litter, but there is dust that makes me cough occasionally. Besides that, I love that it is light weight! Not only is it easier for me to carry, but it is easier for me to scoop. It clumps perfectly. It's very easy and light to scoop everything in the litter box, which helps get the job done in seconds! I clean daily (like you're supposed to) so I don't have any problems with it turning to a clay-like substance.

I just bought the product, was enthusiastic... for 1/2 hour. My cat loved it too end keep going in and out of the box, bringing "out" and everywhere all the litter caught in his paws: light means it can be carried easily, even by your own cat! Whoever engineered this did not seem to worry about this detail that forces you to keep vacuuming...

I was excited not to lug around a heavy bucket of litter, but as time went on I realized it was too good to be true. My cat has successfully flipped the litter box three times and this litter does not control odor. Even after I scoop, the smell of the litter itself is strong. The dust seems to be worse too as I'm coughing when I scoop. I have had zero issues with your regular clumping litter and will be switching back immediately.

This litter was stocked in an end cap for $7.98 and I decided to give it a try since it advertises new clumping technology and I thought it was a reasonable price. Not!!! The litter performs the same as regular litter and without me realizing until I got home, I was charged $12.98 at the register. Save your money!!!

I liked the old tidy til it would not clump so changed to Arm & Hammer when you came out with a light weight one I decided to try it one cat I'm 81 so lightweight is good! But it is dusty so wear a mask while cleaning it. Hope it does not bother my cat.

I bought 2 of the tidy cats lightweight 24/7 and it was horrible! I have 3 cats and 2 litter boxes, I usually buy 2 of the 20lb containers of the clay clumping 24/7 performance and then also the instant action twice a month. I decided since they are heavy I would try the new lightweight in the same way. HORRIBLE mistake. It was a disaster when it came to the performance of the litter, I hate it, plus the dust was unbearable! I had to poor it and run out of the room and stay out for at least 10 min before the litter dust would settle. I will NEVER use the lightweight litter again. I have noticed a change in my normal litter and I'm not very happy with that either. I have been using tidy cats for the last 6 yrs and I don't know what I will do if it keeps changing for the worst, might as well go back to the cheap stuff it it's made about the same.

Love the idea of lightweight but sorry it has a flaw. It is light and clumps for sure, problem is it a stays on their feet. My kitchen floor has to be sweeped often, it sticks to the rug in kitchen, my bed where they sleep has it. The cats drop it off their feet all over the house. I will give you this, it maintains a clean smell as I clean the box every day.

When I started using Tidy Cats Lightweight, it claimed 99.9% dust free, and it did seem to be. Now, they no longer make any claims other than "low dust" and I can see the litter dust building up everywhere and getting tracked around. Looking for an alternative litter again.
