Couldn't figure out why, after 14 years, the cat is tracking cat litter all through the house. Cat litter on the rugs, our bed, all the floors. Cat is trying to get the stuff off her feet. Then, we realized that we'd picked up the light weight formula by mistake. Unless you don't mind cat litter all over your home, don't bother with this product.

Product is lightweight, low dust, clumps beautifully. While the litter may block ammonia odor, it does not block the odor of feces. In fact, you can scoop the feces out, and the remaining litter still smells. Ugh! The Tidy Cats® Lightweight Free & Clean® Unscented Cat Litter with carbon is far superior.

Got the free sample 8.5 jug and couldn't believe how easy it was to lift it to fill our litter boxes. I have 4 cats and they used it as soon as it was put into the boxes. I didn't notice the dust like others did and I'm very sensitive to dust. Clumped much better then the instant action kind I buy. The urine clumps and scoops out easily with no odor at all. NO feces smell either!! I live in a small space and once they are done going there is NO SMELL!! Can't wait for it to be on sale publicly and in the buckets for the same as your other litter. Best litter I have found. Also, the side handle on the jug is a great idea..should be made a normal thing for all your other litters in the jug as well. Makes the task of adding more litter easier for all.

I've tried this for a month, gradually transitioning from the old litter to this. The first thing I noticed was the strong overwhelming perfume. I guess that's what 24/7 control means: cover it with perfume. I have three cats, and two are ok using it but have sneezing fits when they get out. One hates it. He will do is business anywhere other than the litter box. I would love to have the lightweight WITHOUT the perfume.

I have used Tidy Cats for as long as I have had my cat - 8 yrs old. I switched to the new format with high expectations - while I agree that the light scent and the light weight are positive aspects - the payoff for the 'lightweight' litter is that it tracks everywhere!!

i  like the klitter and the lightweigtness of it, makes it easier for me to carry around.  But the absorption smell doesn't really exist.  I have 1 cat and when he uses to box I have to go immediatley and scoop the poop or the urine clumps,out because if I don't its gonna stink

I generally buy the full-weight TidyCats litter for multiple cats, but though I would give my arms and shoulders a break from hauling the jugs up and downstairs. It really is a light-weight cat litter, but unfortunately it doesn't mask the urine smell properly. So, back to the drawing board for me.

I loved the idea, but the cost was more than I really could afford. I finally had a chance to try it when there was a coupon attached to the product in the store. Two things I noticed was that we went through the litter much quicker than the standard product... it didn't last as long. The second thing was that I felt like it didn't really do the basic job of clumping like the standard version. It was wetter which made it messier to scoop. I am on my second (and last) container... the ONLY reason I am using it again is because I had a chance to purchase it at about half off. I just cleaned the litter box of the mess when I decided to write this review and share our experiences with it. It does stick to things... kind of like static cling. I would be concerned with cats ingesting too much while grooming.

I usually use Tidy cat Clumping liter for my 2 cats. My wife doesn't like changing the liter because she says the container is too heavy for her. We tried the lighter weight container and found that the liter worked just as good as the heavy container. It really is a back saver
