I have a two-cat household and have been using Tidy Cat clumping litter "24/7 Performance" (red cap) for about two years and have been very satisfied with odor control and clumping properties and, actually, very low dust compared to other brands such as Scoop Away, all of which advertise 99.9% dust free. I decided to give the new Light Weight litter a try -- it being so much easier to handle. I had high hopes for this product, but after using it for over a month, I am very disappointed. First of all, it is very dusty. The dust rises in a cloud when the litter is scooped. Clumps formed on the ends of the litter box do not release easily, even when the box is rapped sharply. Moreover, my cats have voted with their feet. They prefer the other litter over the Light Weight formula.

I liked the fact that this litter was lightweight however its created a HUGE mess in my house. Its horribly dusty and I'm finding litter all over the house. This was a waste of my money, especially since I had to buy new litter to replace this. Should have stuck with my old kind in the first place.

I tried this product due to the promised lightness of the litter and it would control odor. Well, it was light and easy to carry, but it all stopped there.  It did NOT control the odor at all - the worst ever, my cats weren't crazy about it, and it tracked easily all over the house.  It clumps, but not as good as other products.  Again, the worst part was the lack of odor control.  I am going back to my old brand.

I've been using Tidy Cat products for 30+ years. This lightweight formula has a horrible fragrance that can be smelled throughout home; poor odor control; product is truly lightweight but that has resulted in the ease of the my cats to track litter all over the house. I will not purchase again.

I found she was urinating outside the litter box frequently when we offered the light weight litter. We only buy Tidy Cats Performance 24/7 in the regular weight packaging, so it was discouraging to see her reaction to the light weight alternative.

I was ecstatic to see a lightweight litter! I now have three kitties in my apartment, so buying litter is a weekly expenditure - and lugging it up the stairs was a weekly hassle. With Tidy Cats Lightweight I can easily carry everything from a shopping trip upstairs in one shot... because no one likes multiple trips to and from the car. My kitties are happy too - the airy litter does not get stuck in their paws as frequently, they do not have to spend their playtime covering their mess, and with a very stinky kitten the odor cover is fantastic. This litter is a little spendy but all in all, awesome. Kudos Purina

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always use tidy cats for my cat since we have him like 2 years ago and we love that brand no problem with that.. but I never use the tidy cats lightweight, I jus use this brand and is great no heavy I can lift myself to my cart is great.. is just like the normal tidy cats litter box but lightweight I recommend this to everyone who has cats..

I have a multi-cat home... meaning, several litter boxes around the home. As soon as I read in the newspaper that there is a new LightWeight Tidy Cat litter, I went out and bought it. My cats did notice a difference, but took to it right away! Less backbreaking work for me and still have contented cats! Thank you to Tidy Cat!

I love it being light weight. My cats don't seem to have a problem using it. My ONLY complaint is the dust stirred up from it being used. Even from cleaning out the litter box, a LOT of dust comes up that I end up breathing in and is left on my furniture. I won't buy it again until the manufacturer is able to make it as dustless as possible. Sorry guys! Great idea but needs just a little more work. Thanks!

This is great litter if you have 2 kittens or cats but I have 5 little smooch potatoes, and I had to swithch back to the tidy litter with glade. I liked the fact that the bottle is light, but its not strong enough to handle my 5 little smooch potatoes
