I have two female kitties (6 and 14 years old). While it's apparent that they like some brands/formulas better than others, they have never been fussy about litter. With Tidy Cats Light, it's obvious from the continual poop just inches from the box that they're not liking this. (Vet confirms no other issues that would lead to this behavior at this time.) Additionally, the perfume in the litter is SO strong that it has turned on allergies for ME that I've not experienced in many years! We're going back to the cheap, perfume-free, slightly heavier litters. Despite the sticker on the bucket, neither the cats nor I are satisfied with this product. Hopefully, Tidy Cat will go back to the lab and resolve the issues with their product. At least put a "perfume" warning on the bucket...... there's none on the bucket I've purchased.

Weight down by half but the cost is almost double. Does not control odor as well as the original. Also, the Glade scent - OMG had to throw it out after only using half the tub - Stunk so bad I could not stand it. I always recommend Tidy Cat but will never recommend the light weight or the glade scented.

THIS IS SCENTED and that is causing problems for our cat. UGH. My cat is now having an allergic rash on his leg and chin shortly after we started using this litter. I would say it's not effective for controller odor much at all, except for the fake perfume smell. This litter sticks to their feet and even to their noses and gets everywhere. It's light weight, but the FRAGRANCE is likely TOXIC to your animal, just like it is to humans. I'll never buy this again!

I was delighted to learn about the lightweight litter, asked my grocery store to carry it. The lightweight part is great. However, it's so lightweight that the cats track it everywhere (incl. furniture) and I'm constantly vacuuming it up. So, sadly, back to the heavier weight stuff.

I tried the Lightweight Tidy Cats litter for the first time recently. While I appreciated the significantly lighter weight than other litter and could lift and carry with ease, I found that it didn't last as long. Clumps well. Neutralized odor sufficiently.

I was really looking forward to a favorable experience with this light weight litter. It's a great concept but my cats won't cover their waste with this Tidy Cat Lightweight litter in their normal way because the soap fragrance added to the litter, by the manufacturer, is way over the top. I suggest a fragrance free option and maybe I will try it again.

Tidy Cat is a great product, and its all I use, thats not the question here. Do the math yourself. Do not always rely on their comparison per pound prices. They are notoriously wrong and what you think may be a bargain is not always the truth! Sometimes the weight changes and they still go by the higher weight, and its less now. This makes a big difference on how much it costs by the ounce or pound!

I got the free container. I love that it is lightweight. I give 5 stars for that. I'm getting older and have five cats so litter is a regular purchase. The weight makes it easier for me. I have to give 1 star for dust, dusty, DUST! When I poured it into a container, I almost lost sight of it. Every time I cleaned the boxes, dust cloud. I have brought another brand that is light weigh and it doesn't have near the dust problem this had. That is the reason for the 3 stars. Will I buy it? Maybe. It will have to be on sale and I'd have to have a coupon. I'd rather use the Instant Action. Less dust. As for a recommendation, maybe. If the person has breathing problems, no.

I really do not understand the concept of this "lightweight" litter. Sure it is lighter but it cost almost twice as much as Tidy Cat scoopable litter in the same size container and it doesn't work ANY better. It doesn't last longer or smell any better.
