I have back problems, so having this lightweight litter helps reduce my pain when I move the container from the store to the car, car to the house, then have to pour it into the litter boxes. Works just as well, if not better, than the traditional clumping material. Love it!

I purchased this because living on the second floor and carrying cat litter was hard on my knees. I tried this thinking it was going to be the best, but boy was I wrong. I have dust all over my house and my poor cat has it in her nose, not to mention that it gets stuck in her fur and paws making an even bigger mess. I am very disappointed that more testing was not done on this product before it was put on the market. I guess they hoped that the lightweight perk would pull people in and unfortunately, I feel as if I was suckered into buying a product that makes a bigger mess than what it is worth.

Kitty litter is usually so heavy and lugging the heavy container out to top up the cat's litter tray is such a pain. Although we have only been using the lightweight litter for a week, i no longer dread having to top up the litter pan!

I've been using the regular Tidy Cats for quite a few years. The big buckets were really heavy. When I saw Purina's new product (LightWeight), I was really thrilled. When I purchased it, I was delighted with how reasonable light it was. However... I have three cats, three litter boxes. I scoop these boxes two to three times a day. With three cats roaming around...no other choice if you want to keep these boxes from smelling. Well ... LightWeight is so dusty I have to wear one of these white masks you purchase at the pharmacy when I scoop them. My husband noticed it as well. Honestly, Purina has 99.9% DUST FREE on its label, it's not true at all. I was really looking forward to use this product. How disappointing. I can't believe an internationally well-established company as Purina with tolerate something like this. Does someone test these products before marketing them?

I was hoping for a lot more from this product other than it is easy to carry.  It does not clump at all.  Because of this it does not hide the odors.  It is also easily tracked around the house by my cats. i would take advantage of their guaranty but i did not keep my receipt.

I really liked the 24/7 Performance brand ôf Litter it is great for multiple cats. It's easy to purchase/carry, east to pour and it works great. I recommend this product to anyone who has Cats. It works great and with the container it comes in you don't have to worry about messiness. My sister is using it now too!!

When I started using Tidy Cats Lightweight, it claimed 99.9% dust free, and it did seem to be. Now, they no longer make any claims other than "low dust" and I can see the litter dust building up everywhere and getting tracked around. Looking for an alternative litter again.

Love the lightweight litter really great concept. But to say it is almost dust free is so wrong. Makes my apartment so dusty around the box area and I will be coughing while cleaning it out and for a while afterwards. The plume of dust that is visible while scooping is ridiculous. I have never had so much dust from any litter.

Decided to try the lightweight version of the 24/7 multiple cats--I figured it'd be a lot easier to lug up to a 3rd-floor apartment. It certainly is lightweight...both literally and figuratively. Its scent is weaker than the regular version's, which is a good thing, but the lightweight litter is significantly dustier than the regular, and it's a lighter dust that wafts around my apartment for a long time. This is absolute murder for people like me who have allergies and respiratory issues. I scoop my cat's box daily, but there is still noticeable cat box odor with the lightweight litter even when the box is empty. When the box is dirty, there's no odor control at all. My cat hates this litter. I don't know if it's the smell or the texture or the fact that no matter how deeply she buries her business, everyone can still smell it, but at least once a day she just avoids the box entirely and does her business on my bathroom floor. She never had box avoidance issues with the regular version of the litter. She'll use the lightweight litter if it's fresh out of the jug, but after it's been tainted just once, she'll avoid it. On the plus side, the lightweight litter does still clump well. Definitely going to switch back to the regular 24/7 multiple cats ASAP.

I am a cat breeder and have used almost all of the different litters on the market. I have been using Tidy cat solely for the past 6 years. I was a little spectacle about trying the new tidy cat lightweight, so I used the 7/24 tidy cat up against the new Tidy cat lightweight litter ... After two days.. I have decided that I will be changing to the Tidy cat lightweight. It last longer and uses less litter than the regular tidy cat 7/24 litter.
