I bought this, excited about the decrease in how heavy it is. But I feel it works even better than any of the other tidy cats litters to control odor too. The downside, of course is the price. Almost twice as much?!? For that price, it is not something I will buy regularly.

I use the light weight liter and love it I have 2 cats and 1 dog the cats were my sons who is now a Unite states Marine and is swerving in japan he misses his cats but they are older and cant go with him but the tidy cats is all i buy for there liter box

I was always scared to try new litter because I wasn't sure of how it will smell and how clean it would be while scooping the cats waste, but this brand is absolutely my fave! it doesn't have a bad scent to it before or after my cat uses it and its easy to clean...

I think the idea of a lightweight litter product is wonderful. The older I get, the harder it is to lift and carry a full litter box. The only problem is that it does not help with litter box odor. I clean the box two times daily and it still smelled. Wonderful idea that does not quite work. Regular Tidy Cat does what it is supposed to, control odor.

I was skeptical because of the higher price of this litter, but now I am a believer. The litter is great about keeping the stink-factor down. Also it "clumps" very well, and the clumps stay together so changing the litter isn't required as often. I've got two cats and two boxes. It's great. Get 'cha some!

The lightweight material is a nice feature for transporting of a full box. However, the lightweight material makes it easier for your cat(s) to kick the material out of the litter box when in use. So, expect more of a mess with this litter, compared to the heavier alternatives. Also, the odor blockers are better with the Fresh Step, as opposed to the Tidy Cats.

This litter was stocked in an end cap for $7.98 and I decided to give it a try since it advertises new clumping technology and I thought it was a reasonable price. Not!!! The litter performs the same as regular litter and without me realizing until I got home, I was charged $12.98 at the register. Save your money!!!

I was super excited to see this product and try it out, as I live in an upstairs apartment and the "lightweight" quality is a big plus. However, now that I've used it for over a week, I've soundly decided that as soon as I go to the store and purchase some of the old Tidy Cats formula, this stuff is going straight into the trash. Pouring the litter into the box created a virtual smoke screen of litter dust, which is similarly kicked up every time it is scooped. Likewise, my cat no longer smells like...well, cat...she smells like Tidy Cats Litter ALL THE TIME. Seeing how much of a dust cloud it creates when I scoop it, I can only imagine the dust storm when my cat uses the litter. And, frankly, the thought of all that overly perfumed dust being inhaled by her (and not to mention me) really bothers me. That and the last thing I want to smell every time I pick up my cat is her litter. That dust clings to her and everything else in a three foot radius around the litter box.

I was so tired of lugging heavy cat food and litter up three flights of stairs to my apartment, I always had to plan trips to the store around when my boyfriend could help me. With this new litter I don't dread those trips and I can make them alone! I would highly recommend to any cat owner, I even have multiple cats! Works like a dream.

Was so disappointed.  Although lighter, my cats avoid the box with this litter.  I scoop daily, yet this box smells of solids and is dustier to scoop.  The worst part of this litter is that it gets caught in the "tufts" of my cat's paws and I find him chewing out the clumps which can't be good for him.
