We couldn't have have been happier to see the new lightweight product. Unfortunately, after 2 purchases, we won't buy again. Despite saying 99.9% dust free, it's the first time our cat has tracked white litter dust throughout the house on dark floors and it looks like a mushroom cloud when you scoop. Also, the scent is so strong it's like living in a box of tide detergent. We can't get away from it and my wife's allergic. (The litter box is about 25 feet away from our bed in a bathroom, but the soap smell is overwhelming).

I tried this litter because I like the lighter weight box, and my cats do well enough with it. However, its still hard to scoop from the waste is not being completely clumped.To me the dust is extreme. I'm not sure I will continue to use this litter?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like how the litter clumps so it is easier to clean litter box. My cat didn't seem to mind that i changed litter. I will buy in the near future. My cat didn't make a mess all over the floor with the litter either.

I was super excited to see (and lift) this product in the store. I was also excited when I got home and started using it. When I go to clean out the litter box, this stuff just falls right off of the clumps so more stays in the litter box. I thought that was awesome because that means we would go through litter slower.  However, the awesomeness stops there. After a couple of days we started seeing bits of this litter ALL over the house. That was a little annoying but because I was so happy with how it came off the clumps in the box, I was willing to vacuum daily just to keep using it. But soon not only did we see the litter all over, we started smelling it all over. This stuff is SO lightweight that the dust from it immediately spread into all of our vents. You can smell it absolutely pouring out of each vent in the house. And it's not just the smell of the litter, but of used litter. As we speak my entire house smells of cat urine.  If I could give this product negative stars, I would. Tidy Cats is our favorite brand of litter but this litter is absolutely the worst. 

I bought this instantly when I first heard about it. I was very excited about the weight and ease of carrying it from the car to the house!! HOWEVER, my cats hated this litter. It is too light and they didn't like the way it felt on their paws compared to their favorite Tidy Cat Clumping litter. One of them started to urinate and defecate on our bed because of it and it continued until I purchased the old litter and bought another box. This is just a tip from me: Do not replace ALL the litter in your home. Replace one box at a time to test it out. If I had done it this way it may have been a different outcome. I did notice that they all acted like this litter was not their favorite because they used the "cautious paw" when they stepped in the box and always acted like they were tip-toeing in them.

True, that this container is much lighter than what i am used to. Its easy to carry and i do love that the litter clumps up nicely. Due to the light weight, cleaning the litterbox feels like less of a chore, but it does NOT control the urine/ammonia odor well at all. I have two cats and tend to this every other day, and phewww, what a stink. I have tried all brands of litter but this would not be on my top 3 list of favorites.

I have been using Fresh Step as long as I can remember. For odor control and for dust control and for clumping ability. Well it just kept getting more expensive but seems like it was so dusty lately... so I decided to switch and give Tidy Cats a try. Glad I did. I have 10 cats in my house! Yes 10! and I really need something for odor control. I scoop a lot so the light weight ability was an added plus and the cost was even better. But the thing I liked the most was the fact that there is almost ZERO dust! and the clumping is awesome! I am so glad I switched!

I was tired of carrying the heavier buckets of litter up and down my stairs so I tried the light weight .... BIG MISTAKE! I have a Litter Robot that waits for 7 minutes for the litter to clump then rotates and sifts the clumps from the rest and dumps it in a drawer down below. This light weight litter was like sawdust and the smell was horrible ... so bad that my cat pooped outside the robot! I had to empty the entire robot and refill it. I will have to go out and buy my old litter and bleach that whole corner of my basement to make sure it's clean. I'm so very disappointed because the packaging states it acts like regular litter and does NOT specify that it's not good for litter machines. Back to the drawing board Tidy Cat .... you've lost my business!!

I brought this two months age and wasvery dissappointed. Because it is so light it tracks all over the carpet. It gets in my cats paws and they lick it off. Since it is light it does not masked the poo. I think the marketing department missed the mark. It should have ben advertised for small kittens, training new kittens and noting over three pounds.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tidy Cats Lightweight litter is a great find for me. It's easier to lift, not like the heavy box cat litter I've used in the past. Quick pick up, easy to use, smells good. My cat's like it. No foul odor.
