I have used this product for the 5 years I have had my cat, and it WAS the best clumping and odor controlling litter I could find. The last two shipments I received are a different formula with larger pieces of litter that do not clump at all and leave the litter box smelling heavily of ammonia after 1-2 days. Really unhappy about this change and Tidy Cat denting a change to the formula. If there truly was no change to the formula, this company must have a large quality control issue. I will no longer be using Tidy Cat litter not preaching about how great it is to anyone who has a cat. This is such a disappointment.

I had very high hopes for this litter. The thought of not having to lug heavy containers around was enticing. So I bought one box. The good: 1. It is very light and easy to carry - excellent 2. The volume is the same as regular litter - very good 3. The cats love it. I have 3 cats and 3 litter boxes. Tried this in first 1 then 2 boxes to see how the cats reacted. They prefer this lightweight litter, a lot. All three prefer it over standard litter by a long shot - very good 4. No odors and very good clumping - thought we had a winner But the bad rules the day: 1. The amount of dust is incredible. Far more than any other litter I have used. I have considered wearing a dust mask. Everything near the litter boxes is covered in dust - this is horrible! 2. And the price, nearly double regular litter, is just not justified, particularly with the dust problem. So I could not recommend this to anyone and do not plan to buy again. If they got the price down (I thought it might be less expensive since the shipping costs should be so much lower) and solved the dust problem this would be a phenomenal product. Unfortunately it is not. Sorry

I have used Tidy Cat for years and always been happy with... The lightweight didn't clump well (but well enough) but the DUST was unbelievable! One day I noticed every surface in the living room was covered in dust... I dusted and vacuumed everything and a few days later noticed the same... THEN while sifting the box I realized where the dust was from! The litter looked as tho it was SMOKING as I sifted it! It is that dusty. I tossed the litter, washed the box and filled it with REGULAR TC.

I have been using this product for some time. At first, the lightweight part drew me in because I am tired of lugging huge containers of litter up the stairs in our condo. But when I put it in the litter box, I was absolutely amazed how easy it is to scoop the litter. Being lightweight, one doesn't have to dig hard to scoop it. The scooper glides easily threw the litter picking up the clumps quickly and easily. There is none of that stinky urine gunk that tends to sit on the bottom of the box and is impossible to scoop. But that's just MY opinion. When I asked our 3 kitties how they like the litter, I got "high paws" from all of them. Thank you so much for making my job (and the kitties) so much easier.

It's lightweight comes at a cost. It doesn't absorb odors as well or as quickly as Small Spaces cat litter. I had to get some because my local store didn't have any type of litter that I normally use. My cat did her thing in the litter box. I thought she didn't cover it. Checked and it is completely covered but still stinks. This didn't happen with the other litter. If it was covered it stopped stinking pretty quickly. It's still stinking as I write this review. This is worse than using one of those disposable cat litter packages that has the box/litter combined in one. It's even worst than using the all crystal type of litter. I'm going to use this to put on ice outside so the sidewalk isn't slippery. I might even try to use it to absorb oil spills when changing my oil. It's got to have some other uses since it is a failure at it's intended use.

I especially like the new Lightweight 24/7 performance litter, it's virtually dustless and cleans up just as well as Tidy Cats always has! My cat is happy, which makes me happy! It's also lightly scented, spring breeze would be my guess, adds freshness to the litter.

Most importantly, my 2 cats like this litter. I appreciated the light weight and ease of pouring. The litter is not dusty and does not have a cloying fragrance. It clumps tightly and it is easy to maintain a clean litter box. Wnderful product!

I bought this because it was lightweight, so that was all good. But one day I noticed my cat walking funny, and when I looked at her paws, she had cat litter stuck in big hard clumps between her toes! I can't imagine how painful this must have been! If you have bought this for your cat, please check it's feet regularly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Tidy Cats Lightweight Litter completely blocked all odors from my 2 cats. It clumps well and absorbs waste rather than letting it sink to the bottom of the litterbox. It's very lightweight too so it didn't break my back getting it into the cart.
