I was excited not to lug around a heavy bucket of litter, but as time went on I realized it was too good to be true. My cat has successfully flipped the litter box three times and this litter does not control odor. Even after I scoop, the smell of the litter itself is strong. The dust seems to be worse too as I'm coughing when I scoop. I have had zero issues with your regular clumping litter and will be switching back immediately.

Thank you, so very much for this product. Both my husband and I are disabled - I am in a wheelchair, and we have 2 cats - they are brothers. This product has made it so much easier for us to care for our cats properly. It is so much easier to lift, the scent is so much better - lighter and fresher than any cat litter we have used before, AND it is super easy to scoop so daily cleanings are a breeze. I got my first cat six months ago. The first time I bought litter, I mindlessly grabbed a box of whatever was on sale. It was horrible! It had a very strong perfume-y scent of it's own and mixed with the scent of kitty poo, it was awful! I soon learned that not all litter is created equal. Tidy Cats is now my #1 choice, no more mindlessly grabbing kitty litter!!!

Went to buy this, but the regular kind at my store is 7.99-8.99. The same size of this new one was 15.99. Almost twice as expensive. Although the lighter weight is enticing, I'm not paying twice the cost. If it were the same cost that would be one thing. Then, the other reviews are heavy with dust free isn't dust free, it's worse. You guys still have some work to do on this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't realize that Cat Litter was so light weight and still get the job done 100%. It clogs great and it's not messy . It is dust free and I really prefer this one over the leading ones. I also love the fact it doesn't have a strong odor . Highly recommended.

The litter is lightweight and clumps well but that's about it. I have a 3,000 square foot house and this litter tracks everywhere! It tracks worse than any litter I've ever used. It's also the most dusty litter I've ever used. After my 2 kitties use it, I can smell the dust in another room. The dust also stays on their paws and I get dusty paw prints everywhere. I'm really disappointed because I really wanted to like this product but after a week, I'm done.

I decided to try this litter because of the light weight and easy in handling. I have been running a litter box of regular Tidy Cat and one of Tidy Cat Light. The lightweight seems to last longer and absorbs fast into clumps for easy cleaning! I will be switching to Light Weight definitely!

We have 2 13 yr old cats and 1 kitten so litter is an important part of our daily lives. Dust, litter in our beds, and the lugging of the bags or containers back and forth is tiring. We have tried all the types of litter available and have always come back to the clay clumping kind. However, our biggest problem with it was the dust and its weight. So far it looks like Tidy Cat may have made some great steps on improving these problems. It’s early days still, I will continue to update this, if possible, should other problems arise.

I did like how lightweight this litter is, but that's about it. I've been using this litter for a long time and finally just got fed up with vacuuming up the litter trails all over my house (yes I have a litter catch mat) and my bed, seeing the litter sticking to my cat's hair and it also getting mashed up in between his paw pads. If he happened to step in his urine in the box, the wet clay stayed on him too and I would find little paw prints of clay mud throughout the house. This litter is also very dusty and the perfumed scent is very strong; the perfume scent I didn't mind just took a bit to get used to. I wish I had photos to share, but I was always focused on cleaning up the mess.

The regular Tidy Cats clumping litter clumps so hard, it ruins the take motor of an automatic litter box, but the lightweight type proved to be good for such. It's too bad it's so much more expensive. Claims it's the equivalent of 42 lbs of regular cat litter---NOT! Doesn't last as long as the regular Tidy Cat.
