I have been trying to find a litter that has a good balance of hard clumps that are easy to pick up and that is low on dust. For being 99.9% dust free I am astonished at the literal mushroom cloud of dust that I get from each scoop..my basement floor is coated in the dust from this litter. If this is 99.9%, 99.8% must look like your house is on fire. Unless "99.9% dust free" means that you don't have to pay extra for all the dust?

Bought this for my mother and her cats. I wanted something that she could easily lift and carry into the house and around the litter boxes. Unfortunately, it is so light, that when poured into the litter box, it creates a cloud of dust. Another cloud of dust is created when the cats use the box.

I had such hopes for this product but it's too lightweight--worse than a bag of Styrofoam packing pellets. It also generates a tremendous amount of dust. Bad enough pouring it into the litter box--but when the cats use it, the stuff flies everywhere. The dust and litter sticks to their paws, which gets tracked around the house. It clumps a bit better and does control odor, but not any better than the original TC. I switched back to my other brand.

I only tried the Tidy Cats LightWeight Cat Litter because I received a coupon, and I am so glad I did. This is the only Cat Litter that I purchase now for the 3 cats I have. It weighs so much less than the regular cat litter, but it has the same performance as what I'm used to. I highly recommend the Tidy Cats LightWeight Cat Litter.

I have two female kitties (6 and 14 years old). While it's apparent that they like some brands/formulas better than others, they have never been fussy about litter. With Tidy Cats Light, it's obvious from the continual poop just inches from the box that they're not liking this. (Vet confirms no other issues that would lead to this behavior at this time.) Additionally, the perfume in the litter is SO strong that it has turned on allergies for ME that I've not experienced in many years! We're going back to the cheap, perfume-free, slightly heavier litters. Despite the sticker on the bucket, neither the cats nor I are satisfied with this product. Hopefully, Tidy Cat will go back to the lab and resolve the issues with their product. At least put a "perfume" warning on the bucket...... there's none on the bucket I've purchased.

This is the messiest littler in have ever used! I have closed litter boxes and because of the light weight of it when my cat scratch to cover there mess it flys all over and gets on them. Then when they exit the box it drops off everywhere. But to be fair, it does clump like the heavier litter and does smell better. I will be going back to the old heavy stuff. I would recommend this for open boxes only!

I have back problems and find this product so much easier to pick up and carry. The clumps are also lighter and easier to deal with. The only drawback to this litter is that is sticks so easily to my cats fur and it has a tendency to get tracked around the house. My solution is to keep a dustpan and small broom handy. I love the product.

I tried the Lightweight but I did not like it. Very messy, hard to vacuum and left a dusty residue. The clincher was my cat refused to use it after a few weeks. I had to return to the regular Tidy Cat……..new box etc. Miss Kitty is back to her ol self!

How do they get away with calling this 99.9% dust free? I have to pull my shirt up over my nose & mouth when I clean the box because otherwise I choke. There is 'litter'ally a cloud of dust in the room when I am done cleaning the box, which I do everyday.
