Cannot believe how DUSTY this is... like squeezing a box of baby powder! Love the light weight and even has a pleasant gentle smell, BUT no matter how softly I scoop the box the dust just flies! 99% dust free?? The only things NOT dusty are the clumps.

I love the lighter weight, the better odor control, but honestly didn't anyone consider static cling and the tracking it causes???  I own a Maine Coon and this litter sticks to his paws, his tail, his stomach, and any other part of his fur it can cling.  For the rest of the winter I will be using the old heavy clay litter!

Works great on clumping and odor control. Even if the cats track a little on the floor and you step on it, it is not hard and unpleasant. Easy to carry. One draw back is there seems to be more dust with this litter than most other litters but the ability to lift the containers and carry them outweighs the dust issue.

I have ALWAYS used Tidy Cats but by gosh I'm getting older and hate lugging those heavy containers.  I tried this the first time I saw it in the stores.  I have a 15 year old cat and a 4 year old, and neither so much as batted a cat eyelash at the change.   I ADORE the change - it clumps wonderfully, I swear I think it controls odor even better, and even scooping out the box is easier.  This is one of those "where has this been for all these years" kind of things... seriously, what engineer was taking a realllllllly long lunch and took so long to come up with this?

The kitty didn't seem to notice the difference. It is so much lighter to carry. As you know as you get older you can not carry as much weight. I had been buying the buckets(which were great) but they got to heavy for me to carry. So I had changed to the jugs. Now that is is light weight, works just as well as the regular Tidy Cat, i am very happy. Can't thank you enough.

I have 3 cats, 4 litter boxes and we only use tidy cats! We've temporarily moved to a different city and are in a smaller apartment than we're use too. I wasn't so afraid my home was going to smell like litter box, but this litter is so great at masking any odors!

[Employee of purina] I purchased Tidy Cats LightWeight to try instead of the regular Tidy Cats products I get. It worked just as well and was not as heavy to carry around. However, I went through the container faster and had to purchase more litter sooner. Which makes me feel like it is only lighter because there is less product in it.

I've been using this product for a few weeks now and and I think I'm going to have to throw out the rest. I loved the light weight feature, however the scent is extremely overpowering... And the dust... Ohhh the dust. Clouds plume when I scoop the littler box... It get so bad I have trouble breathing. Not to mention my bathroom is now covered in a dusty heavily scented film. I hope you guys can fix these two issues because I really like the light weight feature!

I tried this for two months and it is terrible! Here is the deal. I purchased this because may daughter is responsible for her cats and the other litter is fairly heavy. The cat box is in the garage and we started noticing the ammonia smell after a week. The cat box was thoroughly scooped and the smell never stopped. We thought that one of the cats was doing his business elsewhere in the garage, but after scooping the litter box, I noticed the ammonia smell was unbearable from the box itself. I use Tidy Cat all the time, and this is the first unpleasant experience I have had with it. Basically, you cannot scoop this litter because it absorbs the urine and does not clump together. So, you get a lightweight litter, but you have to change all of the litter at once which is a very expensive way to go.

I love that the LightWeight litter is so light, BUT the litter is now tracked through out every inch of my home, quite the disaster. I bought the heavier Tidy Cats litter after testing all of the other brands for track ability. Tidy won hands down because the litter stayed in the box and I've enjoyed it for the past 4 years. I will go back to the heavy formula happily still satisfied but no way with the LightWeight.
