I can give these to my children if they ever have issues and I know that it will work and they will get relief overnight. It’s usually 6-12 hours however it can be slightly more or less depending on the actual person and their habits etc. you should not take this within an hour of any antacids or milk. Just take with a glass of water and wait! Not for use under 6 years old and if you don’t like the pills then I suggest miralax powder and mix in any drink that’s not carbonated. This and that are my two top picks for constipation relief for our family.

With that being the case, there’s nothing like having the perfect tool at your disposal when that need arises. These pills are incredibly easy to swallow and even come with a coating for that purpose. In my experience, I have found that I only need to take one tablet, wait for some time, then you feel the relief of this medication. I have not found the ingredients to be an issue with anything else I may eat or drink, nor have I felt any negative side effects from taking this. I think that Dulcolax is an excellent product to have in your medicine cabinet for whenever the need for a laxative arises; pretty much invaluable. I would absolutely recommend this product! This product definitely works. I have IBS-C and about once a month I will have constipation for days, and sometimes I just can't ignore it. I like this product, because it does in fact work quickly. However, I wouldn't necessarily call it gentle. The first time I took it I took two tablets. In about 8 hours I had a horrible stomach pain and had to rush to the bathroom. I was there for a while, and when I got it all out I felt better. I just recommend maybe only taking one and taking another in a few hours if it isn't enough. Two was WAY too much for me.
