Black Specs, change often.

Recycling is a problem

There are very few places/ways to recycle the brita pitcher filters. How about a mail in program? Or more locations where filters can be delivered for recycling.

Saved the day.

Brita water pitchers and filters saved the day for us. Our water was just not great tasting and being someone who is very very active and works out and needs a lot of hydration, this was a serious problem. I couldn't be happier.

Floating Filter

When you over fill the top portion, the filter floats.. It happens all the time and beats the purpose of the filter. I hope Brita will do something about it.

Didn't last a week

Bought pitcher with 1 filter included. This filter lasted 1 week before the red replacement light came on. I use this to filter tap water for my dog. This amounts to less than 2-3 gallons of water. What a rip off.

As a friendly reminder, always rest the indicator when putting in a new filter by pressing and holding down the STATUS button. Hold it there for 2 seconds if you’re using a white filter or 6 seconds if you have a blue filter. Excellent filters for Brita products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using a Brita pitcher for the last 10 years or so and these filters do a great job of filtering the contaminants out of everyday drinking water. They're easy to use and are more cost effective if you buy them in multi-packs.

Poor Design

Used to love my Brita dispenser and filters. Since the new design I have to hold the filter in place while filling the reservoir half the time. Seems like whenever there is little to no water in the bottom, the sudden pressure increase from below displaces the filter; and YES I have the filter lined up properly.

Filters too well

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This filter is more convenient than the older ones in that you don't have to pre-soak for 15 minutes. We didn't notice the water was any better than the old filters but I think it must filter out too much chlorine as after a few weeks (and before it's time to replace the filter), the water starts turning green with algae in the bottom and the whole family gets diarrhea. We keep our filter at room temperature since most of our water is used in the electric kettle for making hot tea, so it is out on the light but not direct sunlight. We preferred the older style that didn't have this problem
