We always have at least one pitcher full of water and extra supply of filters for the next change out. We have hard water at our house and I don't like the idea of the kids ingesting that, so we have used the pitchers and filters with great success.

I have been using a Brita dispenser for a few months now and I love it. The best part for me is not using so many bottles anymore! I bought one of these filters recently, but it did not fit in the dispenser (because of the part that sticks up on top), so I took it back but could not find the right one. Am I missing something? Should this filter fit in my dispenser?

I had come to this page to complain so here goes - I have purchased Brita pitchers for years and replace the filters approximately every 3 months - sometimes less but never much more - this time the filter lasted from 12/21 to 1/10 - seriously? why should I have to come to this page to write a review instead of the contact page? I usually would recommend but I'm seriously disppointed

Yes, you have to change the filters but don't you have to clean the water pitchers, containers, glasses anyways why not change filters too?...

I received a new type pitcher filter from Brita after writing about the high amount of carbon flecks the old filters were leaving. Used the new filter and even purchased a 4 pack and have used 2 of those to be sure the new filter was an improvement. I have to say I really like the new filter. Both for not having to soak the new filter and no fleck of carbon in the pitcher. I purchased the pitcher years ago to use in my coffee maker. But use the filtered water for vaporizer and drinking also.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The filter doesn't last as long as it claims to, at least not in my case. I feel like the filter indicator in my pitcher is red more than it is green. Other than that, it's easy to install and switch out. Pretty simple.

The water coming out of my tap tasted a little off to me and a Brita filter and pitcher was a great way for me to improve my water quality without spending a ton of money on bottled water and creating a bunch of waste.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This definitely helps get rid of the chlorine taste in my water when I'm away at school (city water). At home, we have well water and the Brita filters help rid of the odd mineral taste (our well has a lot of iron content). Plus, I don't waste money on water bottles and I can reuse one Nalgene instead of creating more trash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The filters work amazingly, as our very chlorine-y tap water is transformed into delicious, clean, drinkable water. The one downside that I have found, however, is that regardless how much or how little pre-soak time I give the filters, the carbon particles end up in the filtered wated WAY to often (say, 1-10 particles per glass). I deal with them because I like the water that the filters create.
