Save money and the environment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I definately love my brita pitcher water filter system. Excellent tasting and it's a breeze to clean and to change the filters. It also has a hand filter guage on the top to let me know when it's time to change out the old filter. The only downfall I can find with the brita water filters is the price of each filter or multi-packs. I wish they were a little more in-expensive. It's true I still save money and the environment by not purchasing as much bottled water too. Thanks brita :)

filters don't stay snug

I bought this one recently that it say "new" outside the box ! Since I change to this new one, the filters come out the lose many times, and I have to pour out whole tank of water ! Waste so many water and time, and so much trouble ! I don't know is the filter's problem or Dispenser's problem ! My Dispenser is Brita UltraMax Water Filter Dispenser White 18 Cup

Sorry to hear about that, but this is a super easy fix, Romeilee. Prior to inserting, make sure you flush the filter with cold water for 15 seconds. Ensure that the groove in the filter lines up with the notch in the reservoir. Then simply press down on the filter firmly until it seats into the reservoir. This should solve the problem! Not as good as they used to be

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a reoccurring mystery issue with these filters. They used to provide pure great tasting water. Now i have a new filter, pour a glass of water and it tastes ok, but if it sits and i go back to drink it i taste a dirty, metal and bad taste.

The actual taste of the Brita filtered water is determined by the types of substances present in the water before it's filtered. Filter

Had Better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it for about a month and it started to get mold growing on filter and inside of pitcher. Think with all the advances in products brita could have make a better product. Used one years ago and never a problem with it. Yours is Disappointment.

To get rid of algae, soak the pitcher in 2 TBS bleach/1 gal water, replace the filter. Also, please discard used filter and be sure to keep your pitcher in the fridge/cool place. filter fail

the design of the filter is flawed. it pops out of the filter holder of my pitcher with every use - therefore allowing unfiltered water to mix with filtered water every time, totally defeating the purpose of filtering my water. It needs to have some type of twist & lock design to hold it in place. I have owned a brita filter pitcher for as long as I can remember & this last filter design is making me seriously consider switching to a different pitcher & filter system. please tell me a new twist & lock design is already in the works - I can't believe this is happening only to me...

We suggest submerging the filter upright in a glass of cold water for 15 minutes. Then, line the groove in the filter with the notch in the reservoir and press down firmly. BLACK FLECK FILTER

I have used this filter for 1 1/2 months and there are black flecks in the reservoir. The old style filter never did this but I can not find them anymore. Now I am forced to buy a different filtration system and hopefully it does not produce black flecks or else it is just back to drinking tap water.

Can't get pitcher top to fit over filter!

I bought a very small 5/6 cup pitcher and prepared the filter to go in it. just trying to set it up today and I have no way of getting top to fit over the filter and into the top of the pictcher. I had hoped to start using it today and now I have to wait to tomorrow to call someone. I've used older Britta filter's and pitchers. if someone in Customer Care can help me figure out how to deal with it looks like a good pitcher and a good filter. They just don't seem to go together well despite the website suggesting that they should. Maybe I'll look up a YouTube demonstration!

New Filter

I have tried the new filter and am definitely pleased. I not only use Brita for my family but for my cats also. I was getting so many black flecks in my water that I was afraid it would harm the cats in some way. With the new filter, there are NO flecks. Not one. I am so happy. Not only that, it's so easy to use. No more soaking or messing around. It's great. Thanks Brita.
