I have a Brita pitcher that I keep in the fridge. The water from the pitcher is ok when it is cold but if you leave it out and the water becomes room temperature, it tastes as bad as the water that comes from the faucet. Makes me wonder if the filter system is doing what it claims to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The city water has a very strong chlorine taste and smell. Once I filter through the brita it completely removes the taste! Also the pipes in my building contain lead so I feel safer when I filter all my water for drinking and cooking. Overall the filters are a necessary in my everyday life.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been buying filters for a while now and decided to write about them. However, I didn't know about the recycling of them until recently. I love the idea.....and earning points to do so?? BONUS!!! For me, one drawback with the filters is having to run (and waste) water over the filter for 10-15 seconds. I'd like to think there is a better, resource saving, method of doing so. But otherwise, I like them and will continue to buy and use them.

They definitely seem last longer and they're close to the same price as store brand anyway. I really appreciate the different styles of filters as well! Next I'll be trying out the Brita Long last filters

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our Brita water filtration system was imperative when we lived in town, due to lead pipes. It kept our children's drinking water safe. Now that we live in the country, it does wonders to filter out the hardwater sediment from our well. A win-win!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This filter is much easier to use then the previous ones. With the previous filters you had to soak it in a cup of water for about 15 minutes. With this filter all you have to do is run some water over it for 15 seconds. This is so much faster and easier.

Takes a little while to filter, but that's with any filter like this. We usually use it a little longer than recommended and never get the taste. We don't have very hard water though, so that's definitely a factor.

As an alternative, I have been purchasing a Bottled Water for most of the time. After few years, i tried purified water at one of my friend's place, and it wasn't that bad. So, I decide to give one more try, if not, i would use it for coffee water. The result was rather satisfying than once i remembered.
