Using the Brita pitcher with the Brita filter saves our household a significant amount of money as we no longer buy expensive bottled water.The best part is that with the filter the water tastes great and is vastly improved as our water had a noticeable taste of iodine previously and we never run out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Brita pitcher and filter unit.. replacing the filter is very easy, simply align the slots on the bottom of the filter with the slots on the pitcher and press down to secure.. no twisting, no straining .. fresh tasting water for another three months.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For many years the new filters emitted carbon dots upon first filling oedlledf pitcher. That had to be drained and refilled and some dots made into the next refill as well occasionally. That turned off many people to Brita, thinking "I never want to ingest even one carbon dot." Well finally, problem solved, no more carbon dots.

And you have to clean those black particles every time you refill the cool water from the faucet. Today, we replace the filter with the new version like the picture shown at the left side. Hope this is improved.
