Thick “fat” cap was Inedible. Silver skin all throughout the steak so it was impossible to cut. After cutting off all of the inedible pieces I ended up throwing out over half of the steak.

This New York strip is the Worst steak I have ever eaten. Very grainy ,gristly and so tough we couldn’t even eat it . Never again and the cost of steak is ridiculous. Sam’s the quality of your meat has plummeted so bad . I will need to start buying my meat elsewhere.

The worst tasting steak I have ever had in my life. I have always been wanting to do grass fed steaks and if this is how they taste I feel sorry for you if you enjoy it. Tasted like sore fish and was so tough. Never getting meat from Sam’s ever again.

I purchased 2 packs of these steaks and was very disappointed for these reasons: 1. They are small uncooked. Each steak averaged 11ozs. 2. The fat cap is as hard as a rock and thick... but it doesn't render very well. 3. Marbling was poor. 4. Each steak had a tendon running the length of the steak parallel about a half inch from the fat cap. So in order to eat the steak you need to do surgery to remove the fat cap and tendon which drops the edible portion to roughly 8ozs. That drives the cost per ounce sky high.

So happy to be able to buy grass fed beef. Tender 8 out of 10.
