I tried replacing the batteries and still did not work. I am disappointed because I stocked up on solution, pads, and even convinced family members to upgrade from the PowerJet.

My primary goal is to get the floors clean and as you can tell from the photo below, the new pad design on the Power Mop removed lots of dirt from my kitchen floor but there are still some clean “scrubbing strips” to tackle a couple more rooms. This makes me think that I was previously just skimming the surface and my tile has some texture to it so the new pads help a lot. What is interesting is that for my wood floors the textured strips on the pads do not leave streaks. The second improvement I noticed is that the cleaning surface is SO much bigger. I put the product together according to the instructions and went to use it the first time and the very top piece of the handle will NOT stay clicked into the rest of the handle. Everytime I use it I am constantly having to make sure I don't push or pull too quickly or hard or it will just pop apart and then I have to shove the wires back in and try to re-snap it together. I'm about to duct tape it because it is driving me nuts. I checked to make sure the snap wasn't broken and it's not. It just doesn't stick out as far as the one on the bot...

I thought the inclusion of the batteries would mean better cleaning power, maybe vibrations for extra dirt removal or something, but it's just for the nozzles to shoot out spray. There's literally no difference between this and any of the stick mop models I've had previously, you can't even adjust the length of the handle. The only thing I was happy with is the mopping solution, but I didn't realize that you had to keep buying the single use bottles. There's no concentrates or ability to refill the bottle which means a TON of unnecessary waste going to landfills. And that's without mentioning the single use, very thin “pads” that don't pick up any more than any other pad I've used before. I used a coupon for this pur...

I have had a Swiffer Wet Mop for years and liked using it for quick floor cleans. The first things you notice with the PowerMop is how much wider the mop head is and the pads with 300+ scrubbing strips. Unsure if this would make a difference, I was anxious to try it. This mop does a much better job cleaning the cracks between the tiles. With my old Swiffer, I would have to clean the floor twice, the pad being equally dirty each time. With a large dog and spring weather, my floors get dirty. With the PowerMop, once was sufficient. I even followed up with my old Swiffer and there was little dirt to clean. When it says...

The pad picked up all the hair and toilet paper lint off the floors instead of it getting down in the grout as with the original one. My only problem is that the stupid bottle of solution won't stay down so it won't Staley or it falls out onto the floor! It's so frustrating. I have to pay really close attention to whether or not the liquid is coming out so I know if I need to adjust the bottle, again. Fix that, Swiffer.

However, I agree with other reviews that the cleaning solution is way too strong. My husband started getting a headache and coughing when he came in the house. We are more used to something like Mr. Clean or something unscented. I know I can spray my own cleaner on the floor, but that defeats the purpose and ease of cleaning with the sprayer. May give this to a friend to try. I read somewhere that you could try to dilute the original cleaning solution, but will have to figure out how to do that.

I love the fact that you can use it for hardwood or vinyl and even marble. With its different selection of spray formula tailored to fit your needs just like the cleaning pads are it easy to use and lightweight which is a huge plus for me. Really no maintence at all your hands aren't in nasty water, it uses a whole 2 batteries that will last forever and the starter kit was surprisingly a sweet 30 bucks. Definitely one of my proudest purchases

Purchased this mop and had very high hopes for it but my hopes were quickly dashed. First, the mop is kind of flimsy and the battery pack is kind of pointless. There is no power, only a hum when it squirts the water. You also have to exert a lot of muscle to get the floor cleaned. Using the word "power" deceives a customer because it is not at all powerful. The pads do not stick easily. Should have stayed with the spin mop
