We're very sorry you experienced this. These suggestions may get your PowerMop spraying again: 1. If you hear the motor but the mop isn't spraying, make sure you removed the thin piece of cardboard packing in the solution bottle housing compartment.  2. Double-check to make sure all pieces of the mop have snapped together properly during assembly. 3. The nozzles could be clogged. Brushing them could help them to start respraying. 4. You could also try priming the solution bottle by squeezing gently on it while pushing the start button. 5. Only use Swiffer PowerMop solution with your mop. Other cleaning solutions might permanently damage it and cause it to stop working.  6.  Make sure any new replacement batteries are AA alkaline and from the same package. If none of those tips get your mop working again, then to further help you and provide a full report to our Quality Assurance Team, please call us at (800) 742-9220.

Our goal is to provide you with high-quality products that you can count on, and we’re disappointed to hear this happened. We’d love to share some troubleshooting steps to help determine the issue. We’re sure you did this, but please replace the batteries with fresh AA alkaline batteries and ensure they’re inserted the correct way. Double-check that the battery compartment clicks into place when attaching it back to the mop. Once that is done, please check that all the pieces of the pole were snapped properly and that the solution bottle is not empty and is clicked into place. Please also check that the nozzles are not clogged by brushing them gently. Your Swiffer PowerMop may need priming. Hold the button on the handle for several seconds until spray comes out of the nozzles. You may need to squeeze the solution bottle gently while pressing the spraying button. One tip would be to double-check that the printed side of the pad is facing the mop head and the white and purple strips are facing the floor. Regarding the pad not sticking, the base of the head might need to be cleaned before attaching it, you can use a double sided tape to remove any dirt from it.
