I think it left my hair soft and had a really nice lather for a vegan sulfate-free product, which is important to me. However the lavender scent just wasn't doing it for me, although that's a matter of personal preference. Didn't use for long enough or consistently enough to tell if there are long term thickening etc effects. At first, I wasn't sure about this balm because sometimes items that smell like passionflower don't really smell like passionflower to me. However, once I packed it, I was sure it would be a wonderful smelling balm for me. This shampoo is a game changer for me! After using it, my hair is shiny and soft and a lot more manageable.
