In the last month I have tried these refried beans in two different recipes. The smell is like dish soap in it and the taste is like they are extremely bad. These were bought at different times. Tonight we got the same results. I almost cried. Dinner ruined again. I noticed the numbers are the same as someone else that posted. Something is wrong.

We have Tacos every Tuesday and I make the refried beans and yellow rice to accompany our chicken tacos. I also add a giant pile of cheese to the top of the beans. Sooo good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Always and outstanding addition to our feasts! Perfect consistency and always tastes great! I like to heat it up in a serving dish and top it with a ton of shredded cheddar and bake. Serve with sour cream, chives, and some chips to dip!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used this brand of refried beans since I was a kid and my mom used it when she made tacos for the family. They are delicious! I just add a little salt and pepper and they taste like freshly made beans.

Pleas bring back old recipe or at least off the old recipe for ppl that’s been eating this brand for 40 years the new recipe tast like burnt water so terrible I will not be purchasing Old El Paso refried beans anymore Makes me so sad and I onley posted 1 star because I had to I would of put none

We have been buying the traditional refried beans for years and now the flavor is AWFUL what did you guys do. We couldnt even eat them tonight that's how bad the flavor was. Not to mention they looked horrible too. We checked the expiration date and we still had 2 years so I cant blame that.

I was literally looking online for recalls of these refried beans and convinced I just poisoned my whole family. Weirdly thankful it’s just a change in taste. Have eaten these for decades and tonight the can (exp. 3/27/23) was terrible. We put on fajitas and we’re all trying to figure out what tasted bad and it was the beans. Change the recipe back! The internet if full of forums and reviews saying the same thing. Will be buying a different brand until then.

I have been enjoying your refried beans for decades. They have always been a staple of my pantry. Your new beans are simply awful. They are a pale, mealy, tasteless substitute for your old, tried and true recipe. I just threw out my last can, and will not be buying from you again. What a shame!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Delicious beans! I eat them by themselves or with cheese melted over them. I also like to spread them in between a flour tortilla and a corn tortilla and then make a taco that way. I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Anytime I'm in the mood to make my 7-Layer dip or some nachos, I always use the Old El Paso refried beans. I love the taste of it and it lasts a long time. I definitely suggest using this product for your Mexican dishes.
