[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Refried beans have been a taco night necessity in my home since I was old enough to eat a taco, and things haven't changed. Old El Paso perfects this delectable spread to be used on nachos, burritos, and of course, tacos.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Old El Paso Refried Beans are excellent and I definitely would recommend this product to round out your Mexican meal. When I use as a side dish, I top the beans with sharp cheddar cheese or a Mexican blend shredded cheese. They are great for nachos too. I also add diced jalapeño, spices and shredded cheese for a bean dip with tortilla chips. Great product.

Every time I have bought this in the last year it has tasted “off“ it has an almost plasticy oily taste to it and overpowers anything you put it on. It stays in your mouth for hours. I thought That maybe the store just got bad shipments, but I guess the company changed recipes. Let Gordon Ramsey taste this and critique, because these beans are not edible anymore. Please change it back, or at least take the loss and formulate something better...

Sadly, I find them borderline terrible at this point. From 2010 to 2020 I was happy to spend extra vs other on-sale products like Rosarita because yours were straight-up better. They They now ABSOLUTELY do NOT taste anywhere near as good as they used to. The cans I bought a couple weeks ago seemed to be even MORE disappointing than they'd become in the last year or so, like there was a New and Even MORE Un-Improved version you silently released. It's depressing to me because I LOVED your beans, and now they are just totally weird-tasting and SO inferior to how they used to be.

Been buying these for years and the contents always dump out in a congealed mass that I heat and stir into a pasty, substance like beans would be if you mashed them up. Today they poured out. Didn't seem to have a bad smell, but I ended up throwing them out as I didn't want to take a chance. More like a bean soup than refried beans.

I've bought 4 cans all taste like soap and runny like soup. I'm not a picky eater at all when I say something is nasty it's nasty. My wife heated some up I thought she left soap in the pan nope time after time soap soap and more soap. Taste literally like I put dawn dish soap water in a spoon and ate it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Old El Paso Traditional Refried Beans are the only refried beans I serve. I have tried other brands and they do not even come close to the delicious flavor and thick texture of Old El Paso. I would 100% recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use Old El Paso Refried Beans to make bean dip to serve with tacos. I use my hand blender to make it smooth. I add some salsa and put it in a bowl. I top with sour cream, cheese and tidbits of tomatoes, green pepper and blank olives. Serve with tortilla chips. Yum.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the Old El Paso refried beans. I use them mainly for making beef and bean burritos or nachos. The smooth consistency make these beans very easy to spread or mix with other ingredients. Definitely thumbs up!!

I'm writing this review just to try and hammer the nail in that your company clearly doesn't understand from the hundreds of other reviews. Remove these from stores now. Recall them. There is a chemical in these refried beans that is clearly not in the ingredients list. I smelled the beans then smelled my dish soap.. yup, same smell. I'm pretty sure dish soap doesn't classify as "natural flavors." I buy refried beans for tacos on occasion and I keep accidently buying these dish soap tasting beans because they are the most expensive (assuming most expensive means better/higher quality.) I've now wasted money on 4 cans of these. Could be many things.. Chemical leak; You're rinsing machine isn't rinsing the cans or beans with just water; or you're adding chemicals used in soap on purpose to fix an unsafe ingredient. Either way, my trust with your products is a thing of the past. Fix it or not, I will buy another brand from here on. Your zesty ranch sauce is disgusting too btw. It's in the trash next to the soap beans.
